A Southern Escape at Broughton Haven
Picture yourself in Downtown Savannah, Georgia, where you can see the historic Savannah River outside your modern vacation home. With that, welcome to Broughton Haven. This second-floor apartment is just steps away from Ellis Square, eateries and all the excitement the South brings you. Explore our Savannah vacation homes for your next retreat.
Modern Downtown Glamour
At the corner of Broughton and Barnard Streets, discover our two-bedroom vacation home. Enter at the street-level side door, and venture up to apartment 203. Meeting with a property manager isn't necessary because our vacation rentals Savannah GA include an easy-access keypad. With your proprietary code, step into the hallway that leads into the main living space.
Undeniably, this property reflects historical Savannah with black-and-white photos gracing the walls and brick accents defining the surroundings. Huge windows providing you with a view of the surrounding city will also create bright light in this cheery living room. Relax on the couch, or stretch out on the armchairs as you flip on the flat-screen TV. Look upward to see how modern ventilation was installed in this vintage building, which provides comfortable heating and air conditioning whenever necessary. Alternatively, use the ceiling fans on more moderate days.
Next, step into the kitchen just behind the couch. Our Savannah vacation rentals offer an open concept at this property, which creates a conversational flow throughout your stay. Hop up at the breakfast bar that doubles as a kitchen island. Hang out, eat or prepare food at the breakfast bar that seats up to six people.
Remarkably, the kitchen comes fully equipped. Find pots, pans, plates and utensils in their respective drawers and cabinets. In addition, the space includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, oven, stove, dishwasher and microwave. Truthfully, you only need groceries to move into this kitchen.
Next, slide open the barn door connecting the kitchen to the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms include plenty of linens, blankets and towels for your convenience. Also, the bedrooms include king-size beds and flat-screen TVs. Because this property can accommodate up to six people, the couch also converts into a sleeper sofa.
The master bedroom has an attached en suite bathroom. For example, take a luxurious bath in the separate tub or clean up in the nearby shower. Alternatively, the other bathroom includes a shower/tub combination. Altogether, these bathrooms are quite roomy to share for a relaxing vacation.
If you get the urge to do some laundry, a hidden nook contains both a washer, dryer and extra storage. Additionally, use the included iron and ironing board to look your best. Whether you stay for a few days or a week, Broughton Haven has all the essentials.
A Hidden Oasis
It's no secret that Downtown Savannah is a densely populated area, which means an outdoor retreat isn't always possible at the property. However, our Savannah vacation rentals have a hidden oasis found at 19 Silver Avenue on Tybee Island, Georgia.
Discover our resort-style pool and lounge area located just 20 to 30 minutes from Broughton Haven. It's a large, heated pool with shallow and deep ends. In addition, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas surround this cool retreat.
Furthermore, we've installed a grill at the pool so that you can make a day out of your visit. For example, bring hot dogs, steaks or any other grill-worthy ingredient to feed your hungry group.
Without a doubt, this is a private pool that's reserved only for our Savannah vacation homes guests. Indeed, it's gated and an access code is necessary to enter. As a result, you can spread out without worrying about space. It's available during the warmer season.
Southern Hospitality Outside Your Door
If you parked in the metered parking outside Broughton Haven, keep your spot because most attractions are within walking distance. Naturally, you're situated in the historic district where you can find many museums, such as Webb Military and SCAD Museum of Art. Consider visiting a few historic homes preserved around the city, such as Owens-Thomas or Sorrel Weed Houses. Learning about Savannah's history gives you a greater understanding of the culture and people.
Certainly, this city is known for its walking tours. From architecture to haunted houses, these tours involve unique subjects famous in Savannah. They're available during the day or night, depending on the subject matter.
One of the most popular attractions in town is River Street. Head over to the edge of the Savannah River for many hours of shopping, eating, drinking and exciting activities. Live music, bars and even candy shops are also big draws. If you're interested in a throwback to another time, then consider a riverboat cruise. These huge, white vessels slowly cruise down the waterway while you enjoy the ride, a sunset view or other diversion.
When you want to venture outside the city, travel toward the Atlantic Ocean's coast. Of course, Tybee Island and our resort-style pool reside in this region, but there are also marshes and preserves for wildlife watching. Bring your binoculars to see birds along the shoreline and dolphins just off the coast, for instance. Savannah is an eclectic collection of history, people, flora and fauna for your vacation pleasures.
