Reviews of Best Western Savannah Historic District

Let’s start with the positives — for the price, this hotel is actually pretty good. The location is excellent. The hotel seems to have been renovated not too long ago, so the rooms really do look like the photos. Breakfast was standard but totally fine. The biggest downside — though honestly it felt like a Savannah problem in general 😅 — were the cockroaches. Seriously, they were everywhere around the city. Maybe it’s just the time of year in May… whew. I’m absolutely terrified of them. Do NOT stay in room 309. We’re pretty sure there must be some gaps or cracks there because two cockroaches crawled into our room one after another. Thankfully, the hotel moved us to another room, I think it was 321, and during the next 3 days we didn’t see any more there.

Great location, but $33/ day parking was a total surprise! Room was simple and clean, but mini refrigerator was very loud, and you could hear every little noise ( even footsteps on ground floor outside) plus you could hear the neighbor's TV clearly as well as everything they said. Bed was soft, but large divots from past guests. Very hard to get any sleep.

The hotel is located in the tourist hotspot of Savannah, and the facilities are quite good. It's relatively convenient, and the American breakfast is as simple as always. The rooms are fairly clean.
