This is a very good hotel located at the heart of Savannah historic district. Very convenient with close walking distances to key places. Hotel is well maintained and room is fairly spacious. Will stay again.

This was one of the nicer hotels we have stayed In. The proximity to everything in Savannah was spot on. The only thing I was disappointed in was the the price of valet parking. I think $38.00 a day is steep.

The front desk didn't understand the business and charged randomly. Even if you paid online, you had to swipe the money again. The service attitude is also not good.

Executive Summary: Needs work. 3 strikes. Excellent attached restaurant. Discussion: We were in Savannah on a stop-over for a day. We chose the Spring Hill Suites based on the fact that it was a Marriott property, the general location, and the overall reviews. The property is fine. Check-in is around the back off of the main road. That's a good thing. Room was OK. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately, not all was well. 1) The Television never did work correctly. It would never change from the Marriott Advertisement channel It's generally not a big deal, but sometime you just want to relax after a long day on the road. I went down to get batteries for the remote, and described the issue. The maintenance person brought batteries and told me what to do to get the TV to work. I tried but it never worked, so I gave up. The maintenance person did offer to come up and get it working, but it was late and I decided not to take his offer. 2) Locked out of room. We requested a late check-out at the front desk so we could see some of the city. It was granted. We took a walk after breakfast to see the park and other parts of the city. When we returned to gather our belongings and check-out, the keys would not work for our room. I went down to the front desk, explained the issue. She "rekeyed" my key and implied all was well. Got back upstairs, and it did not work. Went back downstairs and again spoke to the desk agent. She said she would call maintenance to let us in. Now they are on our time. Went back upstairs and waited about 10 minutes. No one showed up. One of the cleaners saw us standing by our room door and asked what the issue was. We explained. He checked to verify our number and let us in. We thanked him 3) Valet Parking App Not working. Be advised that none of the advertised hotel room rates that I saw showed the extra $40.00 per day valet parking fee. You must pay that if you want to park in the property. Your other choice is a public parking garage about two blocks away. As it was later, dark, and raining, and I did not know the city, I opted for the valet. When we went to retrieve the car, we used the prescribed parking app. App could not locate the car. When we went to find the valet, he was MIA on another mission. We finally got our car. 4) Staff. The maintenance staff and cleaning staff were very nice. The staff at the front desk especially at check out could have been a bit more friendly. The attached restaurant specializes in Grilled Cheese, but has other things on the menu. Our meal was great as was the local beer. I would stop there for another meal. Even though they are attached, they do not deliver or offer room service. All in all, even with the aggravation, we would probably stay again although we would seriously look at other properties.

I was in the area, and stopped by to simply check out the lobby. My elderly mom and aunt are coming to visit soon, and we all wanted a nice boutique-style suite hotel somewhere cool. I entered the lobby and was very warmly greeted by all 3 employees present, and I met Crystall, who introduced herself and offered assistance. She was so courteous and professional and I very much enjoyed the tour she personally led me on. Both the room and view were first class, and I found the price she quoted super-reasonable. I left afterward, so glad I decided to stop in, and so grateful to have met and dealt with Crystal. What a terrific, perfect representation of your property she was! Thanks a bunch Crystal. We will definitely be choosing SpringHill for our future lodging accommodations.
