I returned to Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge after 2 years and my delightful past experience was further augmented in the present one. This is truly a unique property that has preserved the sanctity of its history, both in the architecture and period feel that brings back the nostalgic moments of colonial era. The property is ongoing with some major spruce ups and additions to add to the guest’s experience keeping its original theme and DNA intact. The F&B offerings are delectable and top notch, be it local or global cuisines. My compliments to the Captain of the Ship - Mr. Mishra and his team for first hand experience of Tajness and the excellence in hospitality that it stands for. I look forward to my return to this lovely and somber property in the near future.

Had a wonderful lunch IHCL selection Sawaimadhopur. So neat and clean, surrounding is lush green and we'll maintained. Ambience was really mesmerising. Specially Mr. Rajendra Singh Chouhan's smile and service is tremendous. We really enjoyed the lunch. Hope to visit again and again. Thank Mr. Rajendra Singh Chouhan ji

Its a beautiful place in general, though a bit cheap. The rooms are good (large, good bed, good shower) but a little far from the amenities (pool and restaurant). The pool is small. The food area is not very cosy. The food is reasonable but especially the lunch and dinner are so so. Most irritating is the very high price of extras like drinks. A beer is 3 times as expensive as in Amsterdam which is crazy. We bought the drinks in a shop nearby.

Wonderful stay; welcome was warm, staff were attentive and helpful, atmosphere was magical. Giant fruit bats flocking around the veran*** in the evening, after a few perfect days. Bedrooms comfortable++. Only a short drive to the park. Recommended unreservedly

It was a very last minute trip that we planned . We had no idea that we would need to book the safari months in advance . When we reached the hotel , we were greeted by a wonderful person ***meet who welcomed us at the hotel and told us that we can enjoy the stay but we can’t go to safari as everything was sold out . We were bit disappointed but she said she will try to get us on the last minute booking and she did !!!! We got the slot and went to see the safari ,and spotted the tiger and her two cubs . All thanks to ***meet . We had one of the best stays. We were looked after really well by the staff and the property , food , ambience and service was fantastic. We are definitely going back soon :)

A wonderful experience of stay of an altogether upgraded level. It's a vast expanse of 16 acres, lush green, with swimming pool and cycling available. The resort has arranged for clay modelling, painting, bangle making and palmistry sessions with pay. Kids can get acquainted with telescope views courtesy 'Astroden Observatory'. A go cart can always ferry you at your wish.There's no hierarchical system as per my observation. Even the ***ager can sometimes pull up the cart and reach you when required! You get a scenic view & serenity with complimentary tea/coffee at the reception veran*** if you r an early bird. You will find green gardens to sit back and relax every few metres. Low lighting around the gardens during night time gives it a filmy look. The rajwada style spacious cottages & the (bathroom's huge) will transport you 100 years back in time! Just Wow People , the staff here are really amicable. They will help you with whatever you need without that show of 'we r just working here'. We had interactive interactions with "Swastik, Kunj and Rajendra ji".Swastik & my child got ***** like friends & he helped us know the city a better. Kunj always helped us on the breakfast table as my husband got hurt in his leg (had mobility issues) and Rajendra S ji is a veteran! He has profound stories of the Maharani & the Maharaja! When he was child he used to accompany his father who was a shahi khansama of the royalty. I 😍 loved to listen to his 'kissa'. OMG he has seen generations of the kingship and its evolution & transformation into tourism hub. Thank you to the staff for we had a wonderful stay at Vivanta's property. 😊 I would want to be back soon!

Enjoyed this more traditional Indian style hotel. Nice to have 3 days to relax a little more and no long car journeys. Warm welcome and delightful spacious room and bathroom. Enjoyed the freedom of wandering into town, market and local wedding hotels. Noisy weddings close by but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. Had room service for lunch one day - excellent fruit selection at no extra cost. Nice to be able to sit outside one’s room and enjoy a beer. Dining room provided a very good selection of foods at both breakfast and dinner. Valentine’s Night was lovely with rose petal strewn table and roses for the ladies. Nice coffee and cakes in the mornings before the early safaris and welcoming breakfast afterwards. Would highly recommend this hotel and it’s very professional staff. Really enjoyed our 4 safaris and yes, we did see a tiger.

Great stay and relaxation in this Perfect forest preserve ideally located for tiger reserve safari. The staff are excellent and go to great lengths to make your stay memorable. Deepak and Praveen as well as Neelam and Ajay Singh have been exceptional. We had a great safari with tiger viewing on both days thanks to the concierge and front desk arranging them with forest department. The property is in great location and does justice to the Taj brand.
