I was bumped off a flight and Delta put me up at this hotel for the night I give this review 5 stars primarily because of David at the front desk. He was exemplary. Made sure I had everything I needed as my luggage was already checked and left on the plane- and he kept me informed with all the information I needed on where I could shop in the area. My room was very quiet although it was a Sunday night b I had a nice tree top view The shuttle the next morning was right on time, and Shea the driver was so helpful and pleasant-especially for that hour of that day! The only drawback is I feel that Marriott could’ve offered a complementary coffee in the lobby in the morning instead of charging $2.

I stayed at this hotel last week, and it was awesome! I brought my dog, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Got a great workout in in their fitness center. The location was perfect too - right next to the mall. There is a brewpub across the street that's great, too - Sebago Brewing Company. I would definitely stay here again!

We chose this hotel because we were traveling with our small dog. We called the hotel directly to book our reservation 4 weeks before our arrival and booked a king sized bed. We arrived at the hotel and were given a double sized bed. When we walked into the room, it was disgustingly dirty and it smelled like someone was cooking a goat. 1st red flag. My husband went back to the front desk and he was told the hotel does not have king sized beds. My husband then showed him our reservation he had printed out showing the king sized bed reservation. The so called manager said that we must’ve made our reservation through a 3rd party booking company. My husband told them that he had spoke directly to this hotel 4 weeks prior confirming this. She then said a room just opened up with a king sized bed. What? 2nd red flag. We went up to our room, saw it had a queen sized bed, apparently the girl doesn’t know the difference. We decided to make the best of it and went to our car to retrieve our luggage. I fell on the sidewalk because it was extremely icy from the last storm they had and no one at the hotel shoveled or paved the parking lot. 3rd red flag. We were told by another worker that they keep sand buckets by the doors inside to do it ourselves. By this time we were exhausted from traveling all day to get here so we unpacked. We went to sleep by 9 pm and were woken up at 10 by about 8 little kids running down the hall knocking on everyone’s door as they passed. I opened the door to see why this was happening and saw that the last 6 rooms on our floor all had their doors open and all the parents of these kids were mingling in the hallway. My husband went back down to the lobby to complain and was told by another guest that this hotel was considered a “ shelter hotel”. It housed a lot of Somali immigrants. We decided at that point that we were leaving the next morning. The noise lasted until 3:30 am until the police came and arrested a man for beating his wife. The next morning we went to check out and were asked by the same manager why we wanted to leave when we booked 4 nights and we told them that the last straw was when the police showed up. The manager said that it was because of a barking dog. Another lie. We physically saw the police take the man out in handcuffs and was told by the guests in the room next to him that he complained to the hotel and they did nothing so he called the police himself. We booked our remaining nights at the comfort inn and it was like night and day. The comfort inn was amazing. We got a 2 room suite that was lean, fresh smelling and the staff was awesome after we told them of our experience at the other hotel. By the way we paid less at the comfort inn then we did at the other hotel. I don’t recommend the extended stay hotel to anyone unless your a Somali immigrant.

I chose this place as a less expensive alternative to hotels in Portland. Also because motels are safer during COVID than hotels (more ventilation because the room opens to the outdoors). First, I want to say my room was clean and comfortable. It's nothing fancy, but you get what you pay for. Also, I had a last-minute change to my reservation and the manager was very accommodating. So, thank you for that. My one non-COVID sort-of complaint is that, while you get a fridge and microwave (nice features), there's no coffee maker in the room. Would be nice to have that instead of the microwave, maybe. My biggest issue is that there were no COVID protocols in place. I went into the office to check in and the office was SEALED. I mean no windows open, door shut. The manager who checked me in was not wearing a mask. Two other guests were in there. I was the only one wearing a mask. And check in still involves filling out a card, even if you book on Booking.com, so it takes several minutes. I was quite eager to get out of there. When I got to my room, I realized he had given me a queen room rather than the king I booked, but I didn't want to go back into the office to request a room change. Then it occurred to me that if the manager wasn't wearing a mask, housekeeping probably didn't either. I kept the door open and opened the windows to air out my room before removing my mask, following what the experts say. Please open your office windows. It was 72 degrees and gorgeous outside. No reason to have everything sealed up.

Very satisfied, although the price increase on the weekend, the stay experience is the best Hilton stay all the way. The front desk is cute and patient.

Tell tale signs that things you are not in IHG anymore: -When the room reeks of a fake scent that you gag and you find a room diffuser plugged in, unplug it, and 2 hours later realize why it was plugged in. Gag! -When you turn on the lights in the bathroom upon arrival and little critters start running for the drain and dark corners...and when you turn on the lights in the morning and BIGGER critters start running for cover on the desk and chair!! We literally think we transported one across state lines when it popped out at our next stay from a bag we had. -When you go to check in, and hear the front desk person apologies to the people in front of you that she only had one towel to give them because ”it was the last one”, and see that they are have NO front desk person manning the place overnight!!! Ummm, so if you arrive after mid-night, just stay in your car? Having been all around the world and an IHG member for almost 2 decades, I can say that this facility was by far several notches below the brand experience. I usually don't post stuff like this but feel that folks should know to keep on moving past this place to a more reputable brand if they want a safe, clean experience.
