"We did not expect a 4- or 5-star hotel to allow its internet system to remain down for an entire night. This caused a long queue at check-in, and it took us almost two hours to complete the process and be escorted to our room, as the staff were unable to issue our room access card. In addition, we had booked and paid for a room for three guests. While the room did have two large beds, only two sets of amenities were provided. View from room was good though"

"Hotels in Hong Kong are generally quite expensive with small rooms. I opted for this one primarily because its mid-range price point aligned well with my budget. The room itself wasn't small and felt quite spacious. The hotel boasts a good location. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sha Tin MTR station. Alternatively, if you prefer not to walk, several bus routes from Sha Tin station stop directly in front of the hotel, which is just one stop away. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, so don't set your expectations too high; it doesn't even compare to a typical 3-star hotel in mainland China. However, given Hong Kong's prices, this hotel offers pretty good value for money. My room only had a bathtub, no separate shower, which was a bit inconvenient as I usually shower. Interestingly, a smaller room I booked also had a shower. So, I'd recommend contacting the hotel directly when booking to clarify the room type and amenities. The hotel offers pleasant views from the room, overlooking both mountains and a river – truly beautiful and refreshing. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. While the selection isn't extensive, it includes staples like bread, fried noodles, fried vermicelli, sausages, eggs, yogurt porridge, and siumai. Beverages like coffee, tea, and juice are also available. The food was prepared cleanly, and it was sufficient to fill you up. Both check-in and check-out processes were very quick, especially check-out, where you simply drop your room key card into a designated box. I had a relatively long stay in Hong Kong this time. For day trips, I found it very convenient to catch buses directly from the hotel entrance. Bus 81c takes you straight to Tsim Sha Tsui, and if you're heading to Sai Kung, the 299x route is direct. I visited Sai Kung for the first time on this trip to see the sea and islands, and the water was exceptionally clean. I highly recommend taking a bus from the hotel entrance; it's only about a 30-minute ride. New Town Plaza at Sha Tin station also offers a wide range of shops and some excellent dining options. All in all, this hotel provides good value for money."

"Thanks for the warm welcoming. Overall 4/5. We enjoyed our stay. Clean room, nice soundblock, its newly opened. But just too many crowd at lift lobby all the time and water in pool seems no effort on getting it warm. Plus transfer between lifts is a bit complicated."

"We were immediately impressed by the clean and welcoming lobby and room. The staff at the front desk were wonderful—very kind, helpful, and accommodating, and their ability to speak multiple languages made everything so much easier. The hotel has some great amenities, like a pool and a handy laundry room. There were invaluable water dispensers available on every floor. While the location is a bit removed from the main attractions, the reliable, free shuttle that runs every half hour made it a bit easier to get around."

"The location is quite good since it near to the tram stop. However, there are no convenience stores nearby so prepare your stuff in advance. The room is great - it is clean, cold, and decently spacious. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are provided but they don't provide toiletries - you can buy them at the lobby. Service is also good, the staff are accommodating and friendly. The check in process is also quick and straightforward. We didn't get to check out the other facilities besides the breakfast buffet. The selections are quite limited since their dining area is small. Overall, it is definitely worth staying at Dorsett Wanchai."

"Unfortunately, I always seem to get insect bites whenever I stay at this hotel, and this visit was no exception. The newer hotel tower offers genuinely beautiful and pleasant views. Check-out is half an hour earlier than standard. Citing their policy of not providing single-use plastic-packaged amenities, they don't offer a shower cap or toothbrush (though slippers are available). Bottled water also isn't provided and must be purchased. Overall, I'd say just try to enjoy your stay and don't pay too much attention to the staff's attitude. Given the value for money, it's still somewhat worthwhile!"

"I recently spent three nights at Dorsett Kai Tak during a quick business trip mixed with some sightseeing, and it exceeded my expectations for a brand-new property in this up-and-coming neighborhood. The hotel's location in Kai Tak is spot-on—right next to the future sports park (perfect for event-goers) and just a short, complimentary shuttle ride away from AIRSIDE mall, which has fantastic shopping and dining options. It's about 20 minutes from Central by MTR, making it easy to hop around the city without the Tsim Sha Tsui crowds.Check-in was seamless, with friendly staff (shoutout to Gladys at the front desk for her quick tips on local spots). My room was modern and spotless, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning partial harbour views—woke up to the sunrise over Victoria Harbour every morning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and amenities like the rain shower, Nespresso machine, and smart controls for lights/AC added that luxe touch without feeling over-the-top. Soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear a peep from the hallway or nearby construction.The rooftop infinity pool is a highlight—serene with lounge chairs and those epic skyline views, though it was a bit chilly in October for a full swim. I loved the all-day restaurant Siete Ocho; the fusion Spanish-Sichuan dishes (try the spicy prawns) were flavorful and reasonably priced. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped, and the shuttle service ran like clockwork.A minor gripe: During peak event times nearby, traffic can snarl up the area, but the hotel's proactive updates via app helped. Overall, for the value (especially with the Genius discount), this is a fresh, vibrant spot that captures Kai Tak's rebirth as Hong Kong's cool new hub. I'd return in a heartbeat—highly recommend for modern comfort with a side of urban energy!"

"The weather in Hong Kong from September 4th to 6th was absolutely perfect, really enhancing our sea-view room experience. I felt incredibly blissful just lying on the hotel sofa in the afternoon, gazing at the sea and daydreaming. The hotel is conveniently located right by two ferry piers, making it super easy to get to North Point and Central. Our room was very well-equipped (a water dispenser was a fantastic touch, so no worries about not having water in the morning!). The service was excellent; as our room wasn't ready punctually upon check-in, they kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast for a day. And a special shout-out to the breakfast – it was incredibly diverse and plentiful, featuring Japanese, Cantonese, and Middle Eastern cuisines. All in all, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth choosing! 👍"

"Maybe our favorite hk hotel - room are large and the view is breathtaking! In room dining (burgers) and excellent ! The infinite swimming pool is great and the slides for children really fun! We will come back!"

"Definitely the best budget option room in hongkong. Much better than staying in central area where it is cramped and sometime no window. Easy to get to by bus from the airport train station, and the bus ride was very nice. South hongkong is definitely a must visit, and very underated."
