"My husband and I came to Shangri-La, and I knew this hotel was quite famous because of 'Running Man' [a TV show], haha. But honestly, the fame was secondary; what I really loved was their service. The staff were great, very prompt in helping with our luggage and everything else.
We arrived in the morning, around 9 AM, and the front desk lady was so thoughtful. She asked if we'd had breakfast and, since we were hungry, she even let us have an extra breakfast. Haha!
Black Bean Coffee House Afternoon Tea: I ordered a cup before heading to the main town for photos in the morning. I honestly think it's better than Starbucks; I really liked that rich, mellow flavor. It shows the establishment puts a lot of care into their offerings.
24-hour Butler Service: I experienced some altitude sickness in Shangri-La and couldn't sleep well in the middle of the night. The butler responded very quickly and helped me with an oxygen tank and other necessities.
Finally, there were homemade cookies as a parting gift, which my husband absolutely loved, hahaha! It was definitely worth the long time I spent choosing this manor for our trip. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance."
