"Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression."

"Me and my wife, both senior citizens, stayed in The Byke Sunshine Grand, Ooty from 16th to 19th April, 2025. Our stay was excellent and will be remembered in our memory for years to come. The staff and management was very cooperative and courteous and they solved any problem put to them, to our full satisfaction, smilingly. The food was very tasty. They observed utmost cleanliness not only in the restaurant but in the entire hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal. We would like to stay there again."

"This was our second time staying here but not so pleasant this time Food was average And some of the staffs didn’t pay attention to the room issues like flash not working in morning ; requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly ) Common washroom area not cleaned"

"Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite...."

"Very good location, clean amenities, decent food, good service. Mr gelucious was very helpful in attending our needs. Good parking space and property is pet acceptable one. So you can plan with your pet also. But keeping the pet in your room is expected, please remember no kennels are there. This is a heritage property and view from room is not there but outside hotel you can have a good eye catchy view of valley."

"The property is good to stay clean and well maintained, but no restaurant except breakfast, city restaurants are too far auto charges 700 rs return for 3.5 km that is too much, zomato and Swiggy is there, less option of restaurant for vegetarians 2 to 3 only,rest all is good no complains, room 101 should have tinted view glass for privacy reasons, that should be taken care off immediately, request to owner to open restaurant as well for guest atleast . staff is very well trained and behaved thanks 👍"

"The scenic view from the property, there was fog surrounded in the evening time and morning view is excellent. Very friendly staff and hospitality was good. Pros: Best view , Food was great, Nice staff, very clean and hygiene. Cons: No balcony, bathroom and switch buttons are old, Breakfast was not that much good and door lock is very old and need to lock the door form inside of you are going outside, no outdoor activity."
