Scenic Hotels in George Town

"This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!"

"I just wanna say huge thanks to the fo during cny 17/2 we checkin, forgot her name but shes malay wearing scarf bawal a little bit tembam and cute! She was so kind and patient to arrange our request for birthday deco in our room, she apologized for not noticing my notes on the booking but its okay! Love the ambience of the hotel! Overall it was very nice! Will repeat on staying here next time!"

"We were treated to warm, delicious cookies upon arrival and were allowed to check in at 11am, which was a pleasant surprise to us. Everything is within walking distance and located right next to the night market, you'd be in for a treat for local delights, such as the famoua char kway teow and lor bak stalls. The room is clean with a good view of the city. The gym is small, but is well-maintained and equipped with a variety of equipment. Quite a lovely hotel."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall relaxing atmosphere. "Across from the hotel is a car repair shop, and behind it, there's a pile of something. Aside from the room being extremely small, there were no toiletries or bath amenities provided, nor any bottled water. The worst part was the severe noise from the air conditioning unit at night. Basically, don't expect any service or a good environment from this hotel."

"This hotel is considered an older, established 4-star property in the old town, and some of the facilities are a bit dated; I hope they can be updated. The hotel breakfast is excellent, with a good variety and local specialties, though I wish they'd improve the drink quality. My room was old, the AC was leaking, and the ceiling was visibly peeling. Lin at the front desk, who speaks Chinese, provided exceptional service, while others were just average. We arrived on New Year's Eve without a reservation for the buffet dinner, but Lin communicated with the restaurant and managed to get us an extra table so we could enjoy our New Year's Eve meal. However, the 188 MYR price didn't match the quality; if this were in China, it probably wouldn't last a month. The salmon was cut into small strips, and the plate was empty quickly—looks like it's the same everywhere, haha. Ninety percent of the diners were local Chinese. The hotel is located in the old town, about a 15-minute walk to the mural street, and not far from Little India and the Peranakan Museum. There's a hawker center downstairs, but it was closed for the New Year. Overall, the hotel is good, and the location is quiet yet central."

"Flying in from Kuala Lumpur, the hotel's location is pretty good. I saw it recommended on Xiaohongshu, and it's indeed not far from the scenic spots, so location is a plus. However, I don't feel it was particularly good value. Maybe it's because we stayed on a weekend when prices are higher, so please take my following opinions with a grain of salt – they're just my personal views. Firstly, the room was tiny. We paid over 300 for one night, and the movable space was very limited. Secondly, there was no hot water in the shower; it was just cool room temperature. But I guess that might be because the area is generally hot. Also, the room isn't cleaned automatically; you have to ask for toiletries like toothbrushes and bottled water on the table, otherwise you don't get them. There's no trash can in the main room, only a small one in the bathroom. Overall, we weren't very satisfied. You have to wear slippers upstairs and change shoes when you go downstairs, which is quite inconvenient. I'm also unsure about the hygiene of the slippers, given who might have worn them before. If you could avoid a weekend stay or get a better price, maybe it would be okay, but it honestly can't compare to a 100-yuan hotel in China. If you can overlook all these issues, then I suppose it's still an option. It's mostly about 1km from the attractions, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Though, after a few days in Penang, I realized the local food is quite similar, and I actually started craving Thai or other international snacks. Our Grab driver mentioned that if you stay outside the city center, across the bridge, the prices and accommodation might be better, but you'd be further from the attractions. Just something to consider."

"Location around 1.5 km away from many tourist attractions, like upside museum, UNESCO heritage sites etc.. we had to grab taxi everytime. There is a pool on 1st floor, big enough for children to swim around. Its from 7 am to 7 pm. But to be honest, it could be until 9 pm, kind of strict rules. Check-in counter staff was not that welcoming / nor smile, neither kind words/ But cleaning staff and security was kind, smiling every time as we enter the hotel."

"Best location in Georgetown, Penang. If u wanna go to Batu ferringhi, not so far actually, it told around 20 mins when there’s no traffic jam. If u want to cross to Mainland by using ferry , u can just walk to the Jetty, Georgetown , because it’s really near from the hotel. I will definitely book again when I come to Georgetown again. Maybe within a year"

"Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect."
