"We had a booking at Mercure Hotel. We arrived at 3:45 PM and had to wait in a very long line for check-in because there were many guests. Unfortunately, the line we chose had the worst service. Many guests were having problems with their bookings because their reservations could not be found in the system. Some people were shouting at the attendant out of frustration because they had already waited four hours for their booking. In our case, we were traveling with our baby. Although we arrived at 3:45 PM, we were only able to check in at 9:00 PM. We were extremely tired and very frustrated. While we were eventually given a room, some tourists were transferred to another hotel because they could no longer be accommodated. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would like to commend the hotel’s amenities, cleanliness, and food they were all good. However, the shuttle bus going to the beach runs only once every hour, and the beach is quite far from the hotel, taking about 5–10 minutes to reach. It also seemed like there was no proper system for beach access. When we arrived at the beach, the guest attendants told us that we needed to get a bracelet coupon from the hotel first. However, this was never explained to us beforehand. The hotel itself is good, but the service and overall system were very disappointing"

"It is a nice location to travel to town or even just stay in the hotel. The breakfast has variety choices and wont get bored easily. For the photo of the towel, actually we request for 2 more bottle of mineral water but I don’t know why the house keeping talk about towel. And we check in for two adult but the house keeper insist only give one towel and not even a hand towel. At the end, we call to receiptionist to request the towel and they mentioned they suppose to provide 2 towels. Their internal communication within department shall be enhanced for this. Others cleanliness and hygiene is still acceptable"

"We enjoyed our 4 nights stay in savoy,though the rooms are not that spacious,but enough to move around with luggages, the food is also tasty, everyday they have different menus,the amenities and the view, on the 18th floor is wow...you can see the landscape of cebu by day and by night..memorable indeed..we enjoyed our pool and beach time too.. we will definitely come back again, all the staffs are so nice and polite..special thanks to the feont desk Jeremy, we enjoyed our last 2 nights stay because of him."

"I have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations. We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly. The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor. The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant. The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day. Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed. Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience."

"I had a great stay at a great price. The room was nice and the interior was nice, and I could easily cook simple meals. There was a large mall and supermarket nearby, so it was great for buying gifts before leaving. The free use of the pool and gym was also great. The pool was a bit shallow, but the view at night was beautiful. It was only 1km from the airport, so it was easy to call a shuttle to the airport. I stayed for 1.5 nights, but I highly recommend it for 0.5 nights. The host was friendly and attentive, and she kept in touch with me through Trip.com. Thank you. 😍"

"It’s so nice to be here! We are well accommodated by the staffs except for the staff who said we have a lot of request when in fact, they have to give it right away by the time we check in but we still have to request again and again. There’s no cashless when we went in the area due to maintenance and that you have to bring cash with you instead. Overall, we are still satisfied of some staff and the place especially for Family. Recommendable!"

"Overall, it was a pretty good stay. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of options, and I highly recommend the Filipino egg rolls. The pool isn't huge, but it's adequate, though I'd suggest getting there early to snag a spot when it's busy. The beach is quite rocky, so beach shoes are a must. There are plenty of fish in the ocean, so remember to bring your own snorkeling gear. It's best to drive here if possible, as having a car makes things much more convenient. Grab is an option too, but I found that the Didi app was generally cheaper than Grab at the moment."

"It's an executive suite, but it's on the first floor. The view isn't great. I'd rather have a suite room. They asked to be moved to a higher floor. There is no room, and the room is not shown. The facilities are also not as good as expected compared to the price. The breakfast menu in the restaurant doesn't have much to eat. The location is less than 1km away from J-Park, but it is located a little inside, so if you want to go to downtown You have to walk a bit. There is a swimming pool and sunbeds, so it would be nice to relax."

"Stayed for 2 nights with my family — our first time to try the new building/wing — and it truly exceeded our expectations. We were given two adjacent rooms with a common access area, making it feel like we were staying in our own private suite. The rooms were impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. The pool view from our rooms was soothing and relaxing, setting the perfect tone for a family getaway. Breakfast at the 12th floor was a delightful experience. We used to dine at Abalone in the OJ Wing during previous stays, but this time was extra special — great variety, excellent food quality, and warm, attentive staff who made the morning even more pleasant. The service throughout the resort was consistently exceptional — from check-in, housekeeping, and dining staff, everyone was courteous, welcoming, and always ready to help. Facilities are well-maintained, and the entire environment truly makes it feel like a premium family vacation destination. Highly recommended for family bonding and leisure.
