This was a super little hotel with lots of little amenities that made it even better. It's part of a building that includes this hotel, a restaurant, and a sister hotel on the other side of the building. It's in the heart of old city Salzburg, which means you walk right out into the middle of things. Little plusses include tiny lights under the bed so you don't whack yourself in the night, and a double-paned window to block out the church bells which start very early and go on into the evening. The breakfast was very nice, and the restaurant is a good choice for lunch or dinner (probably best to reserve ahead). The cost was very reasonable for what you get!

Our stay was good with 2 exceptions, the tram noise - of which earplugs are supplied and the room had a smell, which might be because thr windows are mostly shut to prevent noise.

Für eine Städtetour im Norden, haben wir das Hotel Elefant als Domizil auserkoren und fanden es richtig toll hier. Ein superschönes Ambiente, vor allem der Frühstückssaal mit den vielen Elefanten und dem wunderschönen Glasdach hat es uns angetan. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend und im Restaurant gab es sehr leckere Abendessen. Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Einziges Manko: unser erstes Zimmer mit Ausrichtung zur Goethestrasse im ersten Stock war sehr laut. Glücklicherweise konnten wir aber tauschen und haben auf der anderen Seite ein ruhiges Zimmer bekommen. Tolles Hotel!

Gemütliches Hotel in Innenstadtnähe, alles sauber und ordentlich, im Kolonialstil eingerichtet. Der Elefantensaal als Frühstückstraum ist traumhaft schön, die Außenanlage im Innenhof lädt auch zum Verweilen ein. Das Bar-Restaurant verwöhnt mit gutem, frischgezapftem Lübzer Pils, auch die Speisekarte ist umfangreich, die Küche einwandfrei. Personal sehr freundlich. Perfekt, um die schönen Seiten Schwerins zu Fuß recht nah zu erkunden. Bis zum Schoß und dem Schweriner See nur wenige Minuten.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön, vor allem die Dusche ist schön groß. Leider nur ein kleines Fenster im Zimmer und absolut kein Wasserdruck in der Dusche. Das Frühstück im Elefantensaal war gut. Die Rezeption scheint nur selten besetzt zu sein, man muss immer anrufen, wenn man etwas will - aber der Computer vorne ist einfach an und alle Dokumente liegen vollkommen frei zugänglich rum… für zwei Nächte war’s ok, aber mehr muss nicht.

Das Hotel liegt zentral, aber leider an einer lauten Straße mit Straßenbahn. Zu empfehlen ist daher ein Zimmer zum Hof hinaus. Das Essen war gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Parkgarage ist sehr eng und man muss bei einigen Stellplätzen schon sehr rangieren. Das es überhaupt eine Parkplatz gibt ist schon viel wert.
