Stayed at the Canyon Suites in the Phoenician propert. Smaller, quieter than the main hotel. Had a lovely suite poolside. All staff were great. Derek, front desk, friendly, remembered my room. Sara and Miguel at the pool always had a smile and helped with food drinks umbrellas. Best was the ice buckets filled with water. Had dinner at J&G at the main hotel. Austin was a great setver. Had a veggie plate made for me. My friends salmon looked great. Complimentary fritters amazing. Comfortable rooms.

Honestly I didn't want to leave this glowing review because I want to keep this July gem all to myself for future vacations! Arizona in July? All our friends said we were crazy, but we had the last laugh. The dry heat was nothing compared to July in Kentucky, so we thoroughly enjoyed every minute by the stunning, uncrowded pool. The service was unmatched. Allison and all the other servers at the exceptional breakfast were helpful, professional, and fun. The food was outstanding, and the we had the relaxing breakfast area (nearly) all to ourselves. Chase, a Canyon Suites ambassador, helped me arrange our excursions and alleviated so much trip-planning stress. Even though he knew we were teachers on a budget, he made us feel special, went out of his way to help, and as a result, our 35th anniversary was one to remember in the best of ways. I give my highest recommendation to the Canyon Suites, but please don't go in July-- leave it all to a couple of exhausted school teachers from Kentucky :)

While the Phoenician is a very nice resort, the Canyon Suites allows you to enjoy all the amenities of the resort, with the hustle and bustle. The staff is warm and welcoming, across the board. The pace is slower, which is fantastic. And the accommodations are top notch. It’s our place to stay when we come to Scottsdale.

This place is fantastic. This staff couldn’t do enough for you. They know what you like what you want and do everything they can to help you out. We want to give a special call out to Devon at the concierge who made sure we had a dream vacation. Buzz. and Ivy had our breakfast needs ready before we even stepped into the restaurant.. They couldn’t do enough for us. Service was over the top outstanding. They treated us like family. The breakfast simple with fresh salads.meats fruits and juices without being over the top. we had semores at their outdoor almost every night. Whatever we wanted to do they made sure they made it happen. The room was large enough space for three people. The pool was beautiful and never crowded. The grounds were magnificent and the hotel is huge and beautiful. And have so many facilities with things to do all the time. We were sorry to leave and we can’t wait to go back.

From the moment we arrived - until we left, the service was impeccable! Brad, our concierge, greeted us and welcomed us to our room by physically walking us to our room and showing us pointers on how to operate the gadgets. Kale, the valet, always remembered us as we took our car in and out. The weekend pool waitress and cleaning ladies were very pleasant! AND everything was immaculately clean all around the property - not just our room. We really enjoyed the cactus garden and we experienced every bar and restaurant on the property — all were wonderful with a nice variety of selections. I am vegetarian and never had a loss of choices. Will definitely return!!!

The place is nice and clean. Rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable. Wife and I were disappointed in the pool areas given the cost of the rooms ($1k+). At the Canyon side (where we stayed) it was run amok with kids (which generally fine, but very loud) and there were no other pool options on this side. At the Phoenician side, the pools were rowdy as well, music a bit too loud for my taste and just lacking in general luxe quality. We went down to the adult only pool and there were rows and rows of seating, no views of the pool if you got in late - just the backside of those in front of you. Felt like we were at some Margaritaville resort in Houston more than anything - pool wise. Wished Canyon-side pool was a bit more upscale. Service was very good and friendly. Breakfast excellent.

Disgusting property with atrocious management. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a Bonvoy property as a Lifetime Platinum member. You’d be better off staying at a Courtyard Marriott than this place that is need of massive overhaul from top to bottom.

This place is still number 1 in old town Scottsdale. The rooms are amazing and the facility’s are still great. What makes this place truly 5 star is the staff. The staff went above and beyond thru our entire stay. The bell hops, front desk staff , concierge , pool staff all top notch. It’s hard to find a great quiet , clean , luxurious hotel in Scottsdale these days for couples and this place delivers. Thank you canyon suites staff

We stayed here on the first leg of our vacation back in April. Check in was smooth and efficient with no problems. We were taken to our rooms and shown around. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds and bedding comfortable. There was some construction outside which is sight downside. It did not adversely impact us as we were out most of the day but suggest to check this. Breakfast buffet was included. Selection could be a little broader but more than adequate. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We mainly used the pool facilities at the larger Phoenician, but it was good to be able to go back to the Canyon Suites which has a more intimate and person feel to it. Would return if on vacation in the Scottsdale area.

Luxurious hotel-within-a-hotel that has a high end club feel. Front desk hosts act like club managers Max, Derek and Roger were all kind and professional. Kale at the bell desk was excellent. Dinner at Mowry and Cotton, very highly rated on Tripadvisor, was exceptional. Lobster gnocchi was a surprise and exceptional pairing. Christian and Gloria were wonderful servers. Q is a top ambassador for the hotel, and has a great presence. Six day stay flew by. Recommend the Grand Canyon/Sedona tour.

What a wonderful experience we had during our four day visit at The Canyon Suites. Of course the rooms and surroundings are beautiful and first class. But what sets this resort apart is the spectacular hospitality. Many thanks to Buzz who greeted us each morning for breakfast, always with a smile and a cheerful word; to the wonderful concierge staff who were uniformly helpful and professional; and to the valet staff, always eager to help, including the free rides on the golf carts to get to some of the more remote areas of the resort. All in all, it they made our vacation memorable and enjoyable. We'll treasure our time there for years to come.

You can spend all your time at the Canyon Suites and enjoy quiet, comfort, and service that is excellent. But we also dined at the J&G steakhouse in the main resort just a short walk away, and we enjoyed the excellent golf at the Phoenician. They recently added an upgraded breakfast that is superb with many choices hot and cold. The detail and services here are the best we have experienced at Bonvoy properties.

This is obviously an expensive place to stay but it is very high quality. There is a separate entrance area to the Canyon suites and a beautiful lobby area. The suites have their own pool but there were a lot of children staying when we visited before the Easter holidays and the pool is not adults only. Quite expensive pool side food. There are cabanas at the pool but these are very, very expensive to hire. Our room wasn't ready although we had called ahead but the hotel was very apologetic and compensated us for the delay which was a nice surprise when we checked out. Check in is quite late at 4pm but you can use the facilities before then. See the small card for things included in the resort fee - we used the car to take us to the Scottsdale fashion shops. We were able to use Marriott points for one of our nights which was helpful to reduce the cost. Staff were very nice and helpful - particularly the valet team. There is a good breakfast served in the lobby area (included) and this can be eaten outside which was lovely. The room was light and airy with a good shower although we would have appreciated a nightlight to the bathroom and a welcome card explaining the amenities including details of breakfast and the fact that the lounge serves evening food. The main hotel has several restaurants and we tried a few of them - there is a nice cactus walk to the main hotel. We had a lovely short stay.

Beautiful canyon suite - 1 full bath with shower & tub and a half bath. Lovely family room with a television and a small dining room table. The patio overlooked a beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious. Buzz was fantastic- so personable and helpful. The grounds were impeccable. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were eager to help and were very professional. Can’t wait to return.

There is good reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. Before I arrived, I received an email from the property about construction. I called and spoke with Derek and explained it was an anniversary trip and that we would like a room away from the noise. We ended up with a beautiful room and heard no noise at all. Derek and his colleague Sydney were responsive to all of our needs and requests, no matter how small. They really do go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience for their guests. Daily breakfast at the Canyon Suites was also top notch. Everything was fresh and their “continental breakfast” included bagels, smoked salmon, delicious pastries and fresh fruit among many other things. My experience at the spa was delightful, but not exceptional. The spa was very busy which is good for the venue I suppose, but it was loud in the relaxation spaces and just felt crowded. I didn’t even try to go to the spa pool since the Canyon Suites pool was so much calmer and quieter. You have access to the main resort pools which were fun and boisterous and I’m glad we experienced a day of it, but for a vacation meant for unwinding, it was back to the Canyon Suites pool for the rest of our stay. All of the pools greet you almost immediately with ice water (complimentary) and a menu to order (pay for) other snacks if desired. The restaurants were also very good, but you’d expect that at the prices they charge. I definitely recommend The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician.
