Renaissance Seattle Hotel

The facilities are decent, and the room size is fine. However, breakfast ending at 9:30 AM is a bit ridiculous. The biggest issue is how noisy it is; the windows offer practically no soundproofing. Plus, the location is awkward. While it seems only a few hundred meters from the main attractions, it's all steep hills. Climbing up and down every day is exhausting. I'd recommend staying closer to the beach instead.

The overall service was good and the room was clean, though there were no toothbrushes, which might be due to policy. However, it's very close to downtown Seattle, which is super convenient. Highly recommend!

The Seattle Renaissance Hotel isn't too far from the cruise terminal, but it's all uphill, making the walk quite strenuous, especially with luggage. The uphill climb throughout was the biggest downside of this stay, severely impacting the experience when carrying heavy items.

Environment: Decent, but try to avoid rooms facing Avenue 6 due to highway noise. Service: Alright. The hotel offers free standard Wi-Fi, but there's a charge for high-speed internet. When we asked about internet, the front desk just said it was available. After checking in, we were charged an extra $3 per night. We inquired about it and were told it would be refunded. Both on the second day and the last day, they assured us the refund was processed in their system, but it never came through. Thankfully, Trip.com helped us resolve the issue. This experience reinforced that choosing Trip.com for international travel is always the right decision.

The room was much larger than I expected. When checking in, I asked the front desk for a quiet room, and they kindly assigned me one facing away from the highway, so there was practically no noise. It's within walking distance to landmarks like Pike Place Market. However, the hotel is located on a hill, which can be challenging to walk. If you're not in good shape, be prepared for a climb or consider using public transport or a taxi instead of walking.

The hotel is right next to the I-5 highway, so rooms facing the highway can be quite noisy. The rooms are pretty standard, comparable to a 3-star hotel in China, so don't expect too much. Hotels of the same brand usually have a higher rating in China, which is a common phenomenon. Parking was tight; the underground garage was completely full when we returned at night. We had to get permission from the front desk to park in a handicapped spot. It's about a 10-minute walk to Pike Place Market, which is quite convenient. The city is very hilly, like San Francisco, so walking around can be tiring.
