After initially being anxious reading some reviews, I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff, especially Ava, were polite and friendly, the food was delicious and the room was perfect. I loved the decor and the extra touches, can’t wait to visit again

Have been visiting the Pig since it opened and what was initially a fantastic addition to our village is now a rather irritating place to come to. Food wise it was spot on when we first visited between Nov 2018 - Feb 2019.. however the service has always been an issue, staff lacking in personality and the senior staff mostly arrogant and unwelcoming. Had food more recently and I was so disappointed. Yes, the decor is fab but the overall atmosphere is just bland. Can’t work out if it’s a bar, a restaurant or a hotel 🤷‍♀️.

If I could give less than one star I would . Do not waste your money at the impeccable pig . What an awful experience we had , the food was just about edible with the pizza looking and tasting like a 99p frozen pizza tasted as bad also . Although the room was nice it wasn’t what we booked as stated on the booking site with stains on the sheets. Not to mention the church bells ringing every 15mins and then multiplying on the hour . We didn’t sleep a wink and left so tired we went home for a nap . There so close to the hotel I would think they should tell people this when there going to sleep and can’t We tried to talk to the manager regarding the issues to be met with shocking attitude. We had also been billed an extra £33.10 for items we did have . After paying close to £450 for a night away with no food or sleep I’m fuming . Never will I ever go back and will advise no one to go here . Over priced and full of attitude . I wouldn’t normally put a review but I would hate to see anyone spend well earned money to experience this dreadful place

Spent the night in one of the master suites last night and had the tapas & prosecco deal on the evening. The suite was absolutely unreal... huge, luxurious and the attention to detail was spectacular! All members of staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Elliott who greeted us, made good recommendations and was non-judgemental with how much we ordered from the bar!!! A superb, great value-for-money stay. Thank you x

Forget the impeccable pig it’s a ripoff the Pickled parnsons over the road sooo much better food and value for money Maybe not the same same posh interior but at least your not getting your eyes ripped out

Environment nice but was it worth £14 for an ordinary glass of wine no it was not . Appeared to be overpriced for drinks . Would not go back as you can get better environment and quality for money in other pubs in sedgefield.

I was gifted Dinner, bed and breakfast here for a special birthday and what a gift. We checked in and were given our room key, room 2 , Le Cochon D’Or… my husband and I opened the door and we were taken aback, I think we said “wow” or something to that effect. It was absolutely stunning, the attention to detail is exactly as the establishments name says “Impeccable.” After having a look around the room and setting in we made our way along to the dining room for our Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed, it was cooked to perfection, our compliments to the chef as we are very fussy about where we eat and this was delicious. We will definitely return to eat again. Our evening of relaxation helped by having a wonderful hot tub in a garden area in our room, which we thoroughly enjoyed spending a good portion of our time in. The room had a huge TV on the wall and an extremely comfortable and very large bed with an abundance of cushions and pillows for comfort. We can’t praise the quality and atmosphere of the place enough. Highly recommended. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff and to the manager Aaron who looked after us exceptionally well. You do an amazing job

I had read and heard mixed reports about this restaurant prior to my family's visit and thought that the management would have taken note and put things right. Not so! My family booking was for a one pm sitting on Monday 18th of September, my wife's birthday. Upon entering the beautiful building I looked for a member of staff to great us. No-one did, two staff were huddled over the pay desk for what seemed ages. Nobody was seen behind the bar. I wandered around looking for life to no avail. Eventually a young man approached and muttered, " You ok there?" To which I replied, " We will be when we get some service!" His response was just a twisted face. We eventually took our table and waited ages for service that included the young man bringing drinks and eventually food. He definitely didn't like my comment earlier as he left my empty dishes for a young waitress to remove. The food was lovely 100,% but it was the lack of training with the service person that spoilt the occasion. I gave him a tip through politeness but he didn't deserve it in my opinion. Future visit,? Possibly sometime in the future, hopefully the staff will be properly trained by then!
