Peaceful Cottage

The room is very big and spacious, and the whole family doesn't feel crowded. The location is about 3 kilometers away from the pier, very quiet. The boss and the boss's wife are very nice. They will send us to the pier every morning. When we come back in the evening, we can send a car to pick us up by sending a WeChat to the boss. It is very convenient.

After a long time of selection, I booked this newly opened hotel. People said that the sanitary conditions in Semporna were terrible, but this homestay really exceeded my expectations. The boss and his wife were really nice. There were cars to pick us up in town and the pier at fixed times, and it only took 8-10 minutes. We arrived very late on the first day, and the boss took us out to find food. I will book this place again next time I go.

But the boss is very nice, and he even asked the driver to take us to a big supermarket. Including fruits and biscuits, you can eat as much as you want. The hotel also has shared power banks. Very good! I read the reviews and thought it was good, so I booked a 4-night stay. The boss's family can communicate in Chinese very well, and you can contact her on WeChat if you have any questions. Airport pick-up is a charge, but it is cheaper than taking a taxi on Grab. When I arrived on the first day, it was afternoon and I didn't report the island hopping itinerary. After asking the boss's wife, I reported a half-day tour of the mangrove forest. It was pretty good and I could really see a lot of fireflies. The room facilities are very new and clean, with a hair dryer and mosquito repellent, and the hot water for bathing is also stable. Our room is on the first floor, but there is no situation that others say that there are people talking in the public area late at night. Maybe the guests living with us are relatively quiet. The sound insulation is really not very good. If people walk upstairs, we can hear the sound in our room. There is a buffet breakfast every day, and the boss's wife will buy mangosteen for us to eat. Mangosteen is super delicious and cheap! On the last day, we had to leave for the airport at 5 am, and the boss's wife also contacted a car to send us to the airport, which did not delay the trip at all, and the price was reasonable. The schedule was full every day so I forgot to take pictures of the hotel, so I'll post a picture of breakfast ~ Anyway, I highly recommend it!

The room was clean and hygienic, the boss and the lady boss provided warm service, the boss recommended the seafood restaurant in Semporna town, the seafood tasted good and the price was affordable, there were snack bars and supermarkets around, and Watsons was convenient for travel, the boss sent us to the pier early for the island hopping tour the next day.

The hotel is in a small alley, and the taxi location is very accurate. I stayed there for five days, and the overall feeling was not bad. There are many hotels in Semporna, it depends on how you choose. It is quieter here than in town. The disadvantage is that the convenience is not as good as in town, but I don’t think it affects daily food, accommodation and transportation. The boss can provide free shuttle bus to and from town every day, but there are fixed time points, and the journey is about 15 minutes. If you want to drink some beer when you return home at night, it is best to buy it in advance at the supermarket. The boss also has beer, but sometimes it is in short supply, haha. I recommend staying here. The environment is nice, it's like a utopia. It's very convenient to be picked up in town every day. The beautiful boss is enthusiastic. In short, this is the most comfortable accommodation experience in Malaysia.
