123 Hostel

I highly recommend this place for solo travelers on a budget who don't want to stay in a hostel! It's conveniently located just a few hundred meters up the slope to the right after exiting Myeongdong Subway Station, Exit 3. I arrived at 11 AM, and the front desk staff was incredibly nice. He spoke Chinese. Since I arrived too early and couldn't check-in until 3 PM, he helped me move my luggage from the first floor (where check-in is) to the second floor (there's no elevator between the first and second floors, but there are elevators from the second to fifth floors). The sixth floor has a rooftop with a view of Namsan Tower. In the single room, there's not much space to move around once a 24-inch suitcase is open, but the room has everything you need. The bathroom faucet and sink are shared – just turn it to switch between them.

The room was spacious, but the bathroom was a bit small, especially the sink, which was inconvenient for taller guests. Other than that, everything else was pretty good, and the environment was very nice.
