ION HOTEL Dongdaemun

The hotel is very nice. When I arrive in the morning, I can check in immediately. Hotel location is good too. It's next to Dongdaemun Station, so it's very convenient to travel and you can also take the 6002 limousine bus from the airport to the hotel.

Location: 4/5 Subway 4/5 Conveniently located near Dongmyo & Dongdaemun, you will have access to most places you need to go, though there is no direct connection to the popular Line 2 so you will need to do a trasnfer one station down at DDP. Took some points off since the walks are long between the lines. Airport 5/5 The airport bus stop is literally right outside the alleyway connecting the main street and the hotel. No complaints. Cleanliness: 4/5 Some mild stains on the sheets was found but overall for what you pay for, it is relatively clean and no big issues. You can request for your room to be made-up every morning. Ammenities: 4/5 Water pressure shower head is low, but stil gets the job done. All in-room ammenities was functioning well, and you also get water bottles everyday refilled (or take them from the lobby). One minor inconvenience is that there is no bathroom floor mat, so you can imagine many travellers might use one of the provided towels for that purpose 🤧 Overall budget-friendly and solo-friendly as it is located in a more neighbourhood area of Seoul with minimal tourists and crowd. Felt safe walking back even later in the night. Only issue is you would have to find food elsewhere, or order delivery because the options are pretty limited and the nearest CVS is a small 7-11.

The hotel was very nice and in a very central but very quite and just 3 minutes walk to the metro Dongdaemun. The room is nice, clean and has everything you need even if it’s a bit small but these are the standard of Seoul!

I have to be honest this cozy hotel make me feel comfortable for my entire trips.I enjoyed staying room quietly during my business days.Besides that, the extremely good is this hotel near in every location I need it especially for my busy schedule.Airport drive take 1 hours and Limousine 6002 take you to nearest bus stop.Transportation take 3mins to Dongdaemun station and 2mins to bus stop which brings you to every attractive place in Seoul.Thank you ION Hotel for this wonderful hospitality! I will definitely stay in your hotel whenever my trip is to Seoul.

Convenient location with airport limousine bus just 2 min walk from the main road. Room is clean but the shower over basin makes the tiny toilet all wet after shower. Staff is friendly and understands simple English. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

I traveled alone on this trip, and this place turned out to be a really great choice for solo travelers. The room might be a bit small, but I found it cozy and just right for one person. It was very clean and looked quite new. The decoration was cute, and all the essential amenities were provided. However, the bathroom was quite small and there was no separation between the toilet and the shower. Still, it was clean and had shampoo and soap ready to use. The front desk staff were super friendly and could communicate well in English. They even let me check in before the official check-in time — which was amazing! Most impressively, they kept my umbrella safe after I accidentally dropped it in the lobby. I really appreciated that. The hotel is also very conveniently located, just about 300 meters from Exit 3 of Dongdaemun Station. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel too. Plus, there are plenty of shops and a 7-Eleven right at the front. I absolutely loved staying here. If I get the chance to visit South Korea again, I’ll definitely stay here again!
