New Day Hotel

The room was spotless and well-stocked with amenities. The hotel staff at the front desk were very kind. There were some mornings where I'd be woken up by noise or loud conversations in the hallway, but overall it was a comfortable stay. On my last day, as I was about to check out and leave the room, I found my auto-locked door had been opened, and was slightly ajar. This was about an hour and a half before check-out time. Since there was only one door separating my room from the hallway, I had no idea how long it had been open. As a solo traveler, I found this quite frightening.

This hotel is just right for a 2-3 night stay. My check-in was scheduled for 5 PM, but when I asked if I could store my luggage, they actually let me check in at 3 PM. The nearest major station is Gangnam, so getting around by bus is quite convenient. If you have a lot of luggage, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Given the hilly area, a combination of bus and taxi would be ideal. I chose a standard double room, which is perfect for those who prefer showers. The only minor issue was a slight cigarette smell.

Hotels in Seoul are so expensive, especially those with good locations. This one is in Gangnam, and I got a private room with its own bathroom. So even though it's a bit old, there's not much to complain about. It'll do for now.
