I had a wonderful experience at Brooklyn Blues Hotel. First of all, I want to highlight the staff working in the lobby and café. A large part of my positive experience was thanks to their kindness and hospitality. They were always friendly, approachable, and willing to help with anything I needed. They also genuinely enjoyed chatting with guests, which made the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. A big round of applause to the entire team!
My room was also in excellent condition. Since I was traveling alone, the room size was perfect for me. However, I can imagine it feeling a bit small for two people, especially if you are traveling with large suitcases. That said, the room had everything I needed, including a TV, refrigerator, slippers, bathrobe, complimentary water, air conditioning, and more.
In the morning, guests can choose one of three complimentary breakfast options at the café: a bagel, a ciabatta sandwich, or a muffin. Drinks are not included and need to be purchased separately, but the prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes.
The location was also very convenient. The hotel is close to Subway Line 1, making it easy to connect to other parts of the city, and there is also a bus stop nearby. In addition, there are several convenience stores within walking distance, which was extremely handy during my stay. There is also a laundromat just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Another great advantage is that Gwangjang Market is less than a 10-minute walk away.
I would particularly recommend this hotel if you plan to spend most of your time in areas such as Jongno, Myeongdong, or Dongdaemun, as it is conveniently located for those neighborhoods. If you expect to spend a lot of time in Seongsu, Yeouido, or Gangnam, you may want to consider another location unless you don't mind slightly longer travel times.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Brooklyn Blues Hotel to anyone visiting Seoul!
