N. Joy stay Dongdaemun

The location in Dongdaemun is honestly just so-so, and the room was super small. For a solo traveler, I think it's perfectly fine. For those looking for value for money, I highly recommend it, mainly because of the cheap price. It's more like a guesthouse. The owner is really nice and offers many services, like self-check-in late at night, a self-service instant noodle machine, self-service coffee and tea, free plug adapters for borrowing, and free earplugs.

The location is a bit hard to find, it's near Dongmyo Station on Subway Line 1. You can also get there by Airport Limousine Bus 6002. The room I stayed in was very small. However, it had complete facilities, including toothpaste and a toothbrush. It's suitable for a solo traveler.

For this price, you really can't complain, it's super cheap after all. Once you open your suitcase, there's barely any room to stand. The hotel is surrounded by Dongdaemun markets, so from noon until night, there are lots of vendors setting up stalls, which makes driving in really inconvenient. If your only purpose is to shop 'til you drop, then this is the place to stay!

The room was great! Self check-in/out was super convenient. The airport shuttle stop is right downstairs, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Subway, bus stations, and convenience stores are all close by. I'd definitely choose to stay here again! 😊

The location was a bit tucked away and dark, but there's a convenience store nearby which was handy. The interior was clean and well-organized. I found it a bit small, but it was perfectly fine for just showering and sleeping. The ample amenities were a nice touch.

This guesthouse is a bit unusual. It's incredibly clean and even has a instant noodle room where everyone responsibly sorts their trash after eating noodles and takeout. However, the soundproofing is absolutely terrible, truly, truly bad. For all three nights we stayed, the couple next door was loud and giggling well past 2 AM, despite clear signs asking guests to keep noise down after 9 PM. If you're a heavy sleeper, you might be fine here.

A really great place! The decor is nice, and the facilities are new. There's even a seating area outside. The location is very close to the subway station and easy to find. All the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. When I left, I gave the front desk some Chinese snacks. It was a wonderful trip, and I'll definitely go again. It would be even better if the front desk could help receive concert tickets next time!
