DONGDAEMUN NEW HOSTEL

The room was fantastic, and the mattress was super comfortable. It was also very convenient for getting around, plus they even had instant noodles available! Highly recommend.

The room was new and clean, as expected. It was a bit small but had everything we needed, including a mini-fridge for our snacks and drinks. We could even open our 24-inch luggage fully. The best part was that the double room came with two beds. The soundproofing wasn't great; we could faintly hear people talking next door at night, but the hotel provided free earplugs. There's also a large rooftop terrace with traditional Korean Yut Nori game equipment. For breakfast, they offered cereal, milk, soy milk, toast, butter, jam, cheese, and ham. I found the cheese and ham combination particularly delicious. They also provide free instant noodles, coffee, and tea 24/7, which was a nice touch, especially enjoying some Korean instant noodles after returning in the evening! The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, always with a smile. However, I couldn't get the WeChat QR code at the front desk to work. The location is super convenient. There's Daiso, Mega Mart, Kyochon Chicken, duty-free shops, and more nearby. Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gwangjang Market (the Olive Young inside the market has a unique design, as shown in picture 4) are within walking distance. Dongdaemun Subway Station Exit 6 is only a 3-5 minute walk away and has an escalator. With subway lines 1 and 4, you can reach most attractions directly or with just one transfer. If you want to take the high-speed train, you can get to Seoul Station and Cheongnyangni Station without any transfers. The Airport Bus 6002 stop is also less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Overall, the price was reasonable, the location was great, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I'm writing this review with a calm mind, but I still remember how frustrated and helpless I felt trying to find the hotel and contact them, all alone. I want to warn solo female travelers, groups of girlfriends, and light sleepers of all ages to avoid this place. The hotel is very remote and difficult to find with navigation. The owner doesn't respond at all, and the smart assistant gives completely irrelevant answers, it's infuriating. The soundproofing is incredibly bad. At 3:30 AM, Koreans in the next room were still chatting, it felt like they were right beside me. Upstairs, it sounded like kids were bouncing a ball, thumping loudly – it was torture. Before booking, I specifically requested a quiet room, not a corner one, but they gave me a corner room right opposite the noisy laundry room. At 4 AM, unable to sleep due to the noise, I even heard foreigners doing laundry! The owner's service was also terrible 👎. When I asked to change rooms, they said there were none available. Okay, I thought maybe it was because I checked in late, but people who arrived even later than me were given other rooms. Are they discriminating against Chinese people? Also, getting here from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station takes at least half an hour on foot. Tourists, avoid this place; you won't get any sleep. Don't choose this hotel for a few packs of instant noodles. A truly, truly terrible experience! My first negative review on Trip.com.

I was surprised at how clean and well-organized everything was, exceeding my expectations. The staff were also very kind, which was a big plus. I didn't take many photos because I was busy with other things, but the breakfast and dining areas were also great 😁. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that I slept really well. I'd definitely consider staying here again! 😄

Extremely close to the subway, and breakfast is included. Instant noodles are also available 24/7. The room isn't huge, and a downside is that some rooms don't have a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, which was inconvenient for my family of three.

Super good, Chinese people don't deceive Chinese people! For this price, it's excellent in the Dongdaemun area. The transportation is convenient, close to both the commercial district and the high-speed rail station. The environment was even better than I expected. Although the rooms are small, which is a common issue with hotels across Korea, the hygiene and service are impeccable. They even have free instant noodles to cook in the restaurant, and breakfast is included, which I absolutely loved.

Absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. It's just a two-minute walk from Dongdaemun Exit 6 (which has an elevator). The front desk staff were incredibly warm and lovely, and the hotel itself is new and spotless. They even provide thoughtful amenities like umbrellas and portable chargers for rent. You can log into Netflix and YouTube on the TV. Breakfast is served until noon, and instant noodles, coffee, and tea are available 24/7. It's truly perfect, I'll definitely be back! 😻

The room was very clean and quiet, and the staff were really friendly. There's a Daiso, a convenience store, and restaurants right next door, which was super convenient. The subway is just 50 meters away, making it easy to get to the airport and the city center.

The hotel's location is really close to Dongdaemun subway station. There's also a decent 24-hour fried chicken place downstairs. Cleanliness: Clean Service: Very good The food is great, and they have 24-hour coffee and instant noodles, which is a huge plus!
