Reviews of Rich Diamond Hotel

Overall, we had a nice and comfortable stay in this hotel. There's a really interesting function in the room, is where the tv remote includes the aircon remote too. We were wondering how to on the aircon and the front desk told us its below the tv remote. Its located near mrt station and there is food stores nearby too.

It wasn't very clean, and there were a lot of small bugs even though the windows were closed. Also, the shower drain was slow and clogged, which made showering take a long time. The floors also seemed poorly cleaned, as there was a lot of dust and hair.

The hotel is quite far from the center of Seoul, and it's on a branch line, which means trains don't run very often. They clearly don't believe in dusting here – the curtains and everything else were incredibly dirty. The clean bedding was a plus, though. They didn't change my towels until I started throwing them on the floor; otherwise, they'd just neatly refold them. There's no view because of the high balcony. There's a dilapidated terrace on the roof. On the positive side, there's a mountain nearby, so you can choose a convenient hiking trail. There are also many restaurants close by where you can eat, and the metro is close. However, if you're looking to explore the city, this isn't the place for you.

We spent time with a friend just perfectly during our 10-day stay. Gentlemen working on the reception were extraordinarily friendly and ready to help us with any upcoming issue, so we had literally no troubles with checking in the hotel and checking out. However, if you do not speak Korean, be ready to use the translator — we didn’t consider it a huge problem though. The hotel is located in about an hour from the central tourists spots of Seoul (Myeongdong and so on), yet it is convenient to get to any point and destination in Seoul from the hotel. Extremely liked the bed and bathroom, air conditioning system also was a great help in Seoul’s summer weather. I also like the fact that the surroundings of the hotel are quite picturesque, lots of flowers around. I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend their time in Seoul with joy and comfort.

Great place! The room was clean , the floor could have used a good sweeping. None the less i enjoyed staying here! Friendly staff !

It was a pleasure staying at this hotel the place was very clean and the location was easy to find. I traveled to this location because it was close to Bukhansan Mountains. The only thing that could have been helpful if the hotel had told me that the gym was under construction. The management was very accommodating though upgraded my room and apologized. Definitely would plan to come back to this hotel, just hope the gym is available. Thanks again, Rich Diamond

I was very happy with my stay . Nice room, priced well.

I like the quiet neighborhood.

It was a room in the basement. The stairs, hallway, and walls were covered in a lot of mold, and there was a terrible smell. The toilet and bathroom were shared and there was no lock, which was a terrifying experience. Other guests' luggage was left in the hallway. I was supposed to stay for four nights, but I couldn't stand it and stayed at a different hotel for the remaining three nights. I should have researched properly before booking.

Nice room, interesting neighborhood where locals live, tourists are rare. Near the metro. Mountain views.
