Hotel CF

The hotel's location is perfect; it's just a few minutes' walk to Myeongdong and very close to Chungmuro subway station, which connects you to anywhere you want to go. The contactless late check-in was convenient. There's an elevator, and the rooms are comfortable, each with a separate toilet and shower. The staff are polite and always eager to help, even recommending restaurants. They speak English. I only deducted one star because the room cleaning wasn't thorough enough.

Highly not recommended. Besides the convenient location, there are no other positives. The cleanliness is terrible; the pillows, sheets, and towels all had strange stains. On the first day, the air conditioning broke. I messaged the hotel, and they just told me to open the window, showing no eagerness to resolve the issue, which was very frustrating. After opening the window, smoke from people downstairs would drift in, smelling awful. You could also clearly hear people walking upstairs or chatting in the hallway. The only good thing was one Japanese lady at the front desk who was very kind and lovely.

I had a smooth check-in thanks to the Japanese-speaking staff. Not only the Japanese staff, but also the Korean staff were very friendly and helpful. The snacks and drinks at the entrance were a nice touch. The room itself was a good size for a no-frills stay. I also appreciated the various power outlets, including Type C, which made it very convenient. However, the wall separating the bedroom from the shower/toilet area was narrow, leading to some sound leakage. The walls in general seemed thin, as I could hear conversations from the next room. I wanted to watch the WBC, but couldn't figure out how to operate the TV. Instructions were available at the entrance, but it would be great if they were provided in each room. I also noticed the sheets were dirty despite not being used, which I hope can be improved. As for the shower/toilet area, it was generally clean, but there were some dark mold-like spots, and the shower water would splash onto the toilet area if not careful, which was a bit inconvenient. The placement of the shampoo and other amenities was also a bit far and awkward to reach. The location was excellent, within walking distance to Myeongdong and Gwangjang Market!

I booked this hotel quite late, around 11:35 PM. After arriving, I had to call the accommodation provider via an internet call. Despite the late hour, they were very patient and guided me through the process, and I was finally able to check in successfully.

It was alright. The location was convenient, tucked away in an alley, though the immediate surroundings of the hotel weren't the best. The hotel itself was well-equipped, even having a private fridge in the room and a communal microwave available.
