Seoul Rex Hotel

I had a great stay at this hotel, the location is excellent. It’s perfectly positioned between Myeongdong and Namdaemun Market, with convenient access to Namsan Tower, so you get the best of both worlds: a quieter atmosphere, while the vibrant energy of Myeongdong is only a few minutes’ walk away. It’s also ideal for shopping and festive sightseeing. Shinsegae Department Store is directly across the road, and Lotte Department Store is just down the street, both well-known spots for Christmas light displays. The hotel and rooms have a classic, antique style. It’s an older property, but everything was clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious, with a large window and a nice city view. Amenities are minimal, but the value this hotel offers is still more than enough for a comfortable budget stay.

The location is great, near a subway station and within walking distance from Seoul Station and Myeongdong. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. As mentioned in most reviews, the hotel is very old and requires renovation. This was not the problem for me, however, the problem was insufficient lighting as there were only two small desktop lamps and one standing lamp, so the room was very dark in the evening.
