If you're reading this review, you should probably look for another hotel.
1️⃣ **Cons**
**I. Guest Rooms**
1. **Facilities are mediocre.** They're not even as good as the Park Hyatt Beijing or Shanghai. On my last night, I noticed the bathroom cabinet door wouldn't stay shut (I have a video), but since I had an early flight the next day, I didn't bother asking for a room change.
2. **Room Assignment.**
* **Floor Level.** I assumed the Park Hyatt Seoul wouldn't require multiple elevator transfers, but they put me on the 5th floor. To get to the 2nd-floor restaurant or the ground floor, I had to go up first, as the lobby is on the 24th floor. If many guests are waiting for the elevator, it can take ages to go up, and even longer to go down if it's crowded. I'd advise any Chinese guests reading this to specifically request a high floor, even if not for the view, then at least for convenience.
* **Room Location.** I chose a room not facing the street, which was very quiet. If you need peace and quiet, you can request a non-street-facing room, as there's still a lot of ongoing construction near the street, and I'm not sure if it causes noise disturbances at night.
**II. Breakfast**
1. **Restaurant Size.** The breakfast restaurant is incredibly tiny, feeling about the size of a cramped old bathroom in Beijing. When it gets busy, you have to wait for ages, and there are only six waiting seats, so you often have to stand.
2. **Taste.** Very, very mediocre. Avoid it if you can. If you're purely after nice plating and good service, then go for it.
3. **Inconsistent Standards.** On the first day, I ordered the beef patty toast (떡갈비 토스트) and waited over 20 minutes for it. When it arrived, it was rock hard. I thought it was a special feature and was confused as I cut it, but I still ate it, haha. The next day, I ordered the same beef patty toast (떡갈비 토스트), and it arrived in less than five minutes, with soft, crispy bread. I was truly amazed. If you absolutely have to have breakfast, start nudging them if your order isn't served within five minutes; don't waste your time.
4. **Specialty.** It's called Park Hyatt Seoul, but there's barely anything related to Korea. There are some items, but not many. If you want to experience Korean culture, don't book this hotel.
**III. Room Amenities & Facilities**
1. **In-Room Dining Menu.** The booklet was full of torn pages, and combined with the terrible breakfast, turning a page made me lose all desire to order anything. The prices were actually fine for hotel dining.
2. **Toilet Stall.** In my twin room, the toilet stall didn't seem to have an exhaust fan. It took a while for odors to dissipate. If you're particular about cleanliness, definitely don't book here.
3. **Central Air Conditioning.** It's incredibly loud. If you're sensitive to noise, don't book this hotel.
2️⃣ **Pros**
**I. Service.** I can only say the service was genuinely excellent. From the greeters to the front desk and room service, it deserves full marks; it was very comfortable. However, if service is your only priority, I still recommend looking elsewhere.
**II. Location.** The location is great. You can walk through an underground passage directly to COEX and Hyundai Department Store. But considering all the cons mentioned above, you'd be better off booking the Grand InterContinental Parnas, which is right downstairs.
3️⃣ **Finally**
I must have too much time on my hands to write all this, but I hope this review helps everyone. If you're considering other hotels near COEX, you can skip this one. Very disappointed.
