Hotel Cozy Myeongdong

The hotel's location is very convenient, a good area, with major shopping centers within walking distance, including Lotte Duty Free. It's also close to the main attractions. That's where the pleasant impressions of the hotel end. The hotel itself is in the super-budget category. In the world, places like this are usually called a "flophouse" (there are no bedbugs, of course — it's a figure of speech, because there's a persistent feeling that the hotel doesn't even reach a one-star rating, haha). But "budget" is not about its price. During the days when I stayed here for three nights, the room rate per night was $180! $180 — I'm sure that's a super overprice. But there is also a good impression: the front desk staff are genuinely courteous and pleasant.

The location is top. Everything is nearby. Hotel provides good breakfast. Also the room has hair fan, electrical teapot, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel.

Totally did not enjoy my stay. The ‘hotel’ room is not maintained well, given the price we paid. The room has no space for 2 hand carry luggages and we have to leave them on the floor. Then we have no space to walk. The room is so small that I have to walk sideways to the bed next to the window. Even walking sideways in, my back touches the wall, that does not look clean at all. Shower pressure changes, temperature of water changes and the shower head tilts intermittently, all without you adjusting it!!! Shower gel and shampoo comes in small tube (50ml/50g), something like this. The front desk receptionist starts work at 10am!! And you can only sit and wait. No hotel staff on duty at night!! So DON’T EXPECT ANY SERVICE!!

The staffs are friendly. There is a self check-In & check-out. Breakfast were , rooms were not spacious. There are adaptors available in the Lobby area just deposit 10,000KRW each & will get refund when u return. Location is perfect if u want to go Namdaemun Market & Myeongdong shopping area. Elevator is in 2F of the bldg. so expect when u are carrying heavy luggages.

Small bathroom (weird shower system) and really bad insulation(could hear the guests next room talking). You can leave your luggage before check-in and after check out. Location is OK.

I have been upgraded for triple bed room. However, the room is quite smaller than the picture they posted. Moreover, the receptionist desk is at 10 floor, before you can get to elevator, you have to carry your heavy luggage to 2nd floor to get to elevator which is not convenience for the travelers with a lot of and heavy suitcase.
