Mangrove Sinseol

The room was lovely and cozy. Just remember, you'll need to handle your own trash. The service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very polite. The bath towels and bathtub were spotless. It was a great value for money trip with friends. Highly recommended.

The hotel's right next to Sinseol-dong subway station, super easy to find, and convenient for getting anywhere. Check-in and check-out are self-service, which is really simple to use. Even-numbered floors have a shared pantry and reading room that are clean and tidy, and every floor has a water dispenser for hot water. The room itself is clean and comes with a fridge. The only issue was that the toilet drain was extremely slow, causing water to overflow into the entire bathroom.

This hotel is perfect for introverts. The self-service check-in/out is a huge plus for me. It's also conveniently located for K-pop fans, being very close to Seongsu-dong. My only minor complaint is that I wish there was a mirror on the desk, like there was at the Tree on Hotel in Dongdaemun, which I really liked.

Right downstairs is Exit 4 of the new subway station, and there's a coffee shop and tteokbokki stand right outside. It's incredibly convenient for transportation, and the airport shuttle stop is also very close. It's excellent value for money if you're traveling solo.

This Korean hotel is really popular on other platforms. It's super convenient for solo travelers, with excellent public transport links nearby – buses and subways get you everywhere fast. I felt really safe staying there alone, and it had a cozy, almost dorm-like vibe, perfect for a solo stay.

This hotel boasts an excellent location. You can easily head west to Jung-gu, east to Seongsu-dong, and south to Gangnam. It's a mere one-minute walk from Sinseol-dong subway and bus stations. The self-check-in via QR code is super convenient, perfect for introverts! The hotel's design is very modern and exceptionally clean, a stylish blend of Korean minimalist retro, Nordic, and tech. The guests are mostly young people, a mix of locals and tourists. Dongmyo area, which is fantastic for exploring, is just a ten-minute walk away. If you're into retro, artsy, and aesthetic vibes, don't miss this hotel. Despite its rather uninspiring Chinese name, it completely exceeded my expectations once inside. I've stayed at the Four Seasons, Conrad, and Grand Hyatt in Seoul, which are all predictably five-star. But this place feels truly special and cozy, with a charmingly fresh and modernist appeal. The overall experience was absolutely wonderful. You'll understand once you stay here; the atmosphere is great, not at all gloomy.

No heating, so the AC had to be on full blast just to avoid freezing, but the downside was it got super dry and I ended up with a nosebleed. The bedding was pretty mediocre; the sheets were really stiff and didn't feel nice, and the mattress felt light and not very supportive. The bathroom wasn't very clean – there was toothpaste on the shower hose, and the wall next to the trash can was stained. The charging port under the bed was incredibly slow, like a student dorm. You pretty much have to do everything yourself. It's definitely not worth over 300 for this price.
