Service staff (Jayden Park) was very unfriendly and unhelpful , when we asked him to point out to us , the location of the bus stop which would lead us to the airport limousine bus (to Incheon airport). We were very lost as tourists and did not know Korean language at all, and the need to know the exact bus stop point (in order not to miss our flight) is of utmost importance . The counter staff Jayden Park also gave us a very unwelcoming and unfriendly look when we insisted for his help to show us the bus stop location (which he reluctantly did after our many attempts , which was a very stressful experience for me as a tourist), it made me feel insecure and an immense upset feeling , totally unexpected for a five star Pullman hotel standard. Please review your counter staff performance . Not recommended for tourists.

The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful, they really make you feel like home at the hotel. The housekeeping attendant is meticulous, with high attention to details in her work and keep the room clean to the highest standard, never seen this in any of the other top rated hotels. Important to mention that both current and past Chinese leaders stayed in this establishment during their various visits to Korea. The services in this hotel are just top of the class.

Stayed at the Lotte Executive Tower just after the holidays, in a Premier Double Room. Pros: - The entrance of the Executive Tower is absolutely beautiful. Same with the Main Tower. Elegant, refined, beautiful art work. The executive tower check-in desks are on the 15th floor. - Easy access by escalator directly into the Lotte Department Store (from where the escalator takes you to, hang a right to get to the famous food hall!) - Location can’t be beat. Directly across from Eujiro Station (1) and around the corner from Myeong-Dong Walking Street / Night Market and several 7-11s (which are almost as good as the 7-11s in Japan). - Our room was beautiful, spacious, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Very modern touches and upscale finishes. A chandelier in the bathroom?? - Immaculate housekeeping. - Excellent temperature and very strong water pressure in the shower! - Appreciate the 2 complimentary bottles of Evian every day. - Fast wifi speeds. Cons: - Love the Diptyque toiletries but wish they weren’t the communal / shared bottles. There were bits of dried lotion crusted on the pump from the previous occupant. - Weird that neither lobby had a single chair to sit on. What’s up with that? Comes off a bit inhospitable. This isn’t the type of place to attract non-guests / loiterers. A bench wouldn’t kill anyone! - For a 5* hotel and the price we’re paying, it’s disappointing that there is a surcharge should you need a toothbrush, toothpaste or use of the sauna (!!). They claim the charge for toothbrush and paste is to prevent wastage but surely you could just have these small items available upon request at the front desk? - The doormen’s manners range from formal and friendly (some) to indifferent (most) to downright hostile (many), especially if you are not a Korean speaker, as many don’t speak English. I’m not arrogant enough to think they should speak English in a non-English speaking country, but a smile is universal, you know? Would likely stay here again at the right price and given the location.

My first time at Le Méridien Seoul , new hotel , 6 months old , super clean , great rooms facilities , good buffet breakfast , maybe a bit under staffed during rush hours but staff were very nice . Superb lounge at the 15 floor with very friendly and helpful staff special thanks to Mrs Sharon Kim and Mrs Rachael Kim for there valued help for restaurants and tips for side seen and shopping , Will go back for sure next time I will in Seoul !

It's a good hotel on a budget. Has a very homely breakfast and water dispenser to fill up your bottles with ice and water. Also has robes to use as pyjamas. Very no frills. Don't expect service from the staff. We expected to be able to check in earlier when we reached if the room was available. We reached only about 15mins to our check in time but were told to wait at the lobby till 1600. I am not sure what the fixation is about for the check in time. If the room is available, then let the guest have it. First time we have experienced this in any country.

Service was inconsistent - sometimes the staff were really nice and friendly and other times they were plain rude and disrespectful to you. When I first entered my room the smell took me aback. It smelled like a mix of sweat and wet socks. The sheets were crumpled and weren’t super clean either. The bathtub had yellow stains which threw me off as I was looking forward to a midnight soak. Basic amenities were given, which was great. The housekeeping ladies were really sweet as well. It’s a 5 minute walking distance to the train station so location was not so bad. Sadly I don’t think I’d book again as it was not that worth for the price.

We got a budget twin room with a shared bathroom. The room was small but it had air con and was enough for two people. The bunk beds are kinda hard by western standards but the pillow and duvet is soft and comfy. The shared bathroom was a little dirty but it was fine with shampoo and shower gel provided. The roof terrace is nice and the free breakfast isn’t bad - toast and cereal (Frosties or chocolate hoops). About a 3 minute walk away from Jongno 5 metro station, however we’re pretty sure there are two *******s outside the hostel. They’re harmless but maybe not suitable if you have young kids

There was a handsome guy at the front desk who could speak Chinese, so when I checked in in the afternoon, he was very smooth and very welcoming. I would like to thank him! The hotel is also well-equipped. A form will be issued when you check in, and the things to note are clearly stated on it. When you come back from playing every day, you will bring a few bottles of water. The front desk is also very welcoming. At night, I went to the rooftop to watch the night view. There are no people in the gym and laundry area, but they are quite clean. You can store your luggage temporarily. There are slippers, towels, bath towels, clothes hangers, hair dryer, shower gel, and shampoo in the room. You need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The room is not big, but it is quite comfortable to live in. It is very close to Gwangjang Market, Dongdaemun, and Myeongdong. It is basically within walking distance. The room was photographed when the refund was made.

Hotel was 5mins walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Exit 12. You can use the lift at Exit 12 (first photo), to/from Level B2 & 1 as the 4 escalators leading up to street level do not work. The room has everything you need, it’s very clean and new (beds and pillows were good ＞＞ didn’t give any backache 😂), with a very convenient water and ice dispenser in the walkway. On top of that, the room has free 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. There are many convenient stores around the hotel. You can have your tax refund done at DOOTA Mall near the hotel so you don’t have to queue at the airport to get your $ back before your departure. Myeongdong Street (at Lotte Young Plaza stop) was also about 10 mins bus ride to the hotel with 5 buses running on the same route. Would recommend staying at this hotel again! The locker for luggage storage (last photo - it fits a L size luggage) was really an advantage - you could dump your luggage before and after your check-in! Finally, airport bus 6001 to the airport is right outside the hotel - prepare 2 hours journey for road traffic conditions near Seoul station enroute to airport.

Room was quite small. Make sure you're very comfortable with whomever you're sharing the room with because the shower and toilet are in frosted glass stalls with minimal ventilation. You can see peoples' silhouettes quite clearly through the glass. The toilet paper also felt cheap and thin. The carpet was stained so we definitely didn't walk around without slippers on (provided in the room). My suitcase fit perfectly under the bed which made it easier to navigate the room. There is a fridge and one complimentary bottled water. No full-length mirror. They provide luggage storage if you arrive earlier than check-in. The rooftop garden on the 21st floor was very lovely, and we had late night chicken and drinks up there. No conditioner, toothbrush, or toothpaste (available for purchase in the lobby). There was a luggage scale on the first floor by the elevators which was convenient because I ended up having to repack my bags after checking the weight (which is definitely preferable to doing it at the airport!). The staff were friendly and provided extra towels upon request.

The gym is really large and is equipped with lots of machines; there is even a separate room for yoga and stretching. The hotel is located next to the City Hall subway and the Deoksugung Palace; there are many places to eat nearby. It’s a fine place to stay while you are in Seoul.

The landlord speaks some Chinese and English and is also accessible. It's super close to Dongdaemun Station of Subway Line 4. It's not far from Gwangjang Market. It's a ten-minute walk. The location is convenient. Can walk to JW Marriott end of DDM in 5 minutes, the 5 gu Metro station is just right outside the motel also, which is handy to go to Anguk area, to visit the Onion Cafe. For shopping around DDM area, it is around 15 minutes walk, but this end of DDM has no shading, so a bit hot if walk to DDM design center. The shops in DDM open until 3-5am so its handy to find supermarket after mid night or grab a coffee, or buy some clothes after mid night. Overall its easy location. But the motel need to include a map to find it as the door sign is in Korean so not easy to find the motel front unless someone knows Korean. Lucky the taxi driver took me to the front door and showed the entrance, else its not easy to know which door to go in for the motel. Local shops around the motel are basic. Walk to DDM has more choices to buy food or normal items.

It’s very close to Exit 3 of Jongno Fifth Street, about three or four minutes. It’s easy to find Dongdaemun, but note that you have to go through a small alley to the guesthouse. Inside is the red light district in South Korea. Single girls really need to be careful. The hotel environment is still Very good, relatively small and mini, check-in and check-out are very autonomous, in general it is very good, not eaten for breakfast, it seems to be milk and cereal.
