I had a really pleasant stay at Mövenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and well maintained, giving a premium and comfortable feel from the moment we arrived.
We initially booked a Twin Room, but requested an upgrade with extra payment, and were upgraded to a Deluxe King Bed room. The room was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable. The bathroom design was excellent—there is both a bathtub and a separate shower, and the bathroom doors are accessible from two directions, which made it very convenient.
As we were travelling with a baby, we requested a baby cot, and the hotel provided it. We also needed a place to store ice bricks since the room fridge did not have a freezer, and the staff assisted us with that request.
Breakfast starts at 6:30am, but unfortunately we were unable to have it even though it was paid for, as we had to rush for an early morning flight.
The hotel provides an airport shuttle service to KLIA. Although we had made a booking, my name was somehow misplaced. Thankfully, the shuttle van driver was very helpful and still assisted us and sent us to the airport even though my name was not on the list.
However, there was one major downside. The shower water heater had an issue, where the water became extremely hot even after adjusting, making it difficult to bathe my baby in the early morning. While we could have reported it, it was around 4am, and changing rooms at that hour would have been very difficult due to the amount of luggage we had and our early airport transfer at 6am. Unfortunately, this really spoiled part of the experience.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful and comfortable, with helpful staff and good facilities, but the shower heater issue needs attention, especially for families travelling with young children.
