Seronera Wildlife Lodge
4/518 Reviews
I would definitely not call Seronera a resort. It holds much promise. It’s smack in the middle of the Serengeti NP and perched on top of a rocky outcrop that oversees the plains. The staff are also upbeat when it comes to service, and food spread while not big, is overall delicious. They would also try to serve up dishes if you have particular requested, and staff puts up a lively performance over dinner. However a lot more work is required, especially with the hardware and maintenance. The development is old style and rundown. Its wooden floors are creaky and curtains tattered (we looked at multiple rooms with similar conditions). We checked in with dead and half-dead bugs on the floor, and a bug ran across my daughter’s arm. The management explained that bugs are attracted to light but still, maintenance I think could be better. They eventually moved us to a family room which was marginally better, but same problems persist. The beds are stiff, our room couldn’t get wifi and hot water wasn’t reliable. Reminds us very much of a motel in the US rural, certainly not a resort. On the electricity, it indeed cuts off at 12am (11.30pm on our first day) and only comes back on close to sunrise. The management explained that this is because the airport is nearby and the authorities have rejected their request to put up solar panels (for backup batteries). And leaving the electricity on the whole night is not permitted either so as not to disturb the wildlife. So you will need to be diligent at charging up all devices early as they can’t be charged overnight. Seronera will need a lot more work and investment before it can become a viable resort.
Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp

My family and I had an amazing time at the Mbuzi Mawe lodge. The place was clean with all the creature comforts while maintaining the rustic ambiance. The lodge had a nice balcony to enjoy the breathtaking expansiveness of the Serengeti. Food was good too and great service all around. I was able to get an in-room massage which was very good for the price. We celebrated our son’s 9th birthday at the lodge. I had reached out to the hotel front desk to arrange for a cake; the staff made the occasion quite memorable by singing the birthday song in Swahili and bringing the cake during dinner time. All in all, great lodge and I would highly recommend it.
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti

This time I went to Serengeti for the Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel has a very good view. It is in the Serengeti National Park. The park tickets are paid for each day. The hotel can charge 5% service fee on behalf of the two of us. The day is about 4,000 yuan in park tickets. I lived in January. The room rate for 110,000 nights included three meals. Afternoon tea is all you can eat. The taste is okay. In the evening, there is an open-air restaurant with a Maasai performance. For candlelight dinners, you pay $ 100 for one candle I didn't feel it indoors, the last picture was. Many of the hotel's staff are local Marseilles. They are very unique. There are also many paid items. The items set by the hotel are very expensive, much more expensive than those set outside, but the car is still better and the service is a lot. The airport pick-up is very expensive, because there is a small airport in the park, 50 minutes drive from the hotel But what makes me very uncomfortable is that the hotel's waiters are always very perfunctory. I booked a room of 10,000 yuan per night and stayed for four nights. When I checked in, I asked if I could upgrade my room type, because I am a hidden season. VIP, it can be upgraded as expected, but they dragged for a long time to upgrade a room that is not different from what I ordered, and later consumed some items in the hotel, such as walking safari, off-road safari, spa, etc., When I checked out, they tried to find more money for me, and they paid me a few thousand yuan more. After half a day of holding, they admitted that they had made a mistake, and their attitude was very bad. I was surprised how the Four Seasons Hotel still has It is estimated that this kind of hacking behavior can be used by people who provide services to us. I hope this matter can attract the attention of Four Seasons Hotel. I have lived in Four Seasons in many countries. I have never had such a hacking behavior. If you go to live I must also be careful that they will do things on the paid items. I checked the bill the night before the check-out. If it was very helpful to go to the airport on the morning of the check-out, there must be no time to meet them. So fine. But in addition to hacking, the four seasons are still very good, Serengeti is so beautiful, will go again in the future.

We were three days in this beautiful hotel. The hotel is located directly in Serengeti and impressed with a splendid view. The entire facility is lovely and typically African furnished. We got a room upgrade to the most beautiful room we've ever seen, thank you! All staff is very friendly and helpful. All tours we could book on site daily and also thank Arnot to our super driver just enjoy. Thanks! Depending on Safari wishes, a tour can be organised by the hotel. We would recommend the Safari package with lunch in the Serengeti, because such a great lunch had the other visitors there not ;-), thanks to the kitchen team at this point. The biodiversity of the animals here is impressive. The hotel's food and drink offer is excellent just as the service, thanks to the entire F&B team for the great time. Restaurant Boma is especially recommended. The view from the restaurants is also unforgettable. We would come back here at any time and recommend the hotel warmest.

Stayed for 4 days, every hotel staff was very enthusiastic and they would take the initiative to say hello to me. The hotel environment is very good, on a small hill about 30 kilometers from the Seronella airport, the room can overlook the Serengeti steppe. The hardware facilities are acceptable, the sanitation is relatively clean, and it is completely acceptable. I'm most satisfied with the food, especially the fried noodles. I think they made me the fried food directly.
