Big bed and comfortable large room with bad odorants, gentle staff, I stayed blocked in the lift, the room was repaired after 3 days was a suite. Good breakfast. The hotel is wonderful as a structure but it is completely out of service, it seems they are waiting for a new buyer to rebuild it all. The kitchen is abandoned, use only for breakfast, restaurant with spectacular room and panoramic terrace almost abandoned to the spot. Bars not available , they put a free 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby .... Very serious that they forced me to pay 8 nights immediately with credit card before seeing the room, In fact, after 2 days I would have left but they would not have paid back ....... No hotel in my life has asked me for an advance payment at Check-in for 8 nights, it can happen for one night. I advise not to go if it is not restructured.

Location is wonderful, and so is the whole building and surroundings. But comparing price/quality there is really something missing. We spent 3 nights in weekend High season, but there was no management at all.We had to wait more than 3 hours before we could have our room, although we send a mail to ask for an earlier check in than 16.00. Not possible, we have to waited till 16.15 . We have been in many 5 stars places all over the world, but never had this situation. Thanks to Mr Joao de Sousa we we're calm down. He treated and helped us later with everything, and that made our stay good. Our superior terras room was located perfect, clean and cool, but the decoration is for that price some dated. The bathroom very small and not really comfortable. In the adults pool only three umbrellas, to protect all the guests from the sun. sunbeds we're not very clean, and the pool towels, is really not done, in a 5 star Hotel member of the Leading hotels of the world. The quality of the breakfast was 3 stars, only 2 sorts of unripe fruit, and no fresh bread at all. We have had diner several times, at the fantastic Terras outside, but please put mores covering to protect people for the extreme sunburning. quality of the food was good, specially my fish was perfect prepared, and again I say, the very kind service of Mr Joao, David, and several other members of the restaurant was really touching. They did their job more than fantastic. So overall, the place has so many strong assets, location, building, history, surroundings, but some for us important details we're missing, and the feeling that there was no management to talk with, but the location is Portugal on it's best! I spent a weekend at Sana with my girlfriend. We didn’t have a good experience. 1) the breakfast is very limited for a 4 star hotel that charges 100+ a night. Aside from standard eggs, mushrooms and cheese, there are very limited options. Also, they bring very limited quantities and hence people almost have to fight over food. 2) the staff is not helpful. For instance, we book 2 nights in different rooms and given that we arrived late we asked to go to the second room directly. They said it was not available. It happened that the first room they gave us didn’t have a working aircon and after this, the second room miraculously became available. 3) hotel charges you $12 per night. Mind blowing. If you park in front of the hotel on the street by the ocean, and you don’t pay the fee and get a fine, it amounts to $8. Ridiculous. Very poor experience and won’t go back for sure.

Breathtaking location with magnificent views of the Setubal peninsula. One of the best Pousadas of Portugal. A ”must-stay”. Very professional service and superb service. Great room at moderate price. Excellent breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are very clean and well furnished. The staff does a very good work: always available, and welling to provide the best service. The restaurant À La Carte is very good. Thé location is perfect very close to the beach and the marina.

The staff is wonderful, i came with my 2 kids, and we had 3 single beds. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom size is correct, not too small, and not too big. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast bufet is very nice and complete. Thanks again to the staff who are very helpful and kind. The walk to the beach is 5 min, the beach is very nice. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We were quite disappointed about the experience, all was ok but nothing was quite right Check in : the desk can’t cope with the number of people at the time , as usually are families the situation gets quite noise , large and tedious, be prepare to access any time after 16,30..... Bed mattress need to be replaced, the have a long live Bathroom is a mystery how to get out hold the bath not having to jump over the vanities !! Location and view is a plus , if you book for sea apartment view !’ As mentioned , quite basic , under expectations for sure !!

The new Sheraton in Sesimbra is a beautiful building, ideally located, that will certainly provide lots of amenities and attractions in a post-covid era. Its restaurant was one of the few ones opened on New Year's Day in Sesimbra. We decided to try the brunch advertised at Euros 35 per person. The prevailing covid related precautionary measures imposed that the service be terminated by 1pm. We were consequently requested to show up early, namely around its inception at 11.30am. Breakfast was served in the same room until 11am. We arrived around 11.40am but the restaurant was still occupied by breakfast guests. We were asked to wait standing until guests left and the waiters cleaned and disinfected the tables and set up de brunch menu... We were seated at a long table, of which only half had been cleaned for us. The rest of the table was left with its crumbles and stains from the prior occupants. The floor was also left dirty. Then started the chaos. The staff was extremely gentle and meant well but in the absence of a proper system in place, every staff member was serving every guest and ended up serving no one properly... The menu was a buffet, but because of covid no guest was allowed to touch the buffet and needed to be served by a staff member. Even though there were not that many guests, we ended up waiting to be served. We ordered coffees that were forgotten 2 or 3 times, the same with the eggs. We received the tomato, sausage and mushrooms meant to accompany the eggs some 30 minutes before the eggs arrived. As guests, we can only suggest to the restaurant managers to either discontinue the brunch, as not applicable in a covid environment, or to adopt a system that would rationalize staff and guests moves and satisfy everyone. First of all, breakfast should terminate earlier in order to give more time to the staff to clean and prepare the restaurant room before the arrival of the brunch guests. Secondly, one staff member should be dedicated to a single or at most 2 tables and be entirely responsible for that/those tables, helping the guests at the buffet and serving drinks or eggs at the table. We were also disappointed by the lack of originality and diversity of the brunch dishes.
