Shanghai Binjiang Xinjing Hotel (The Bund)

Chose this guesthouse for my trip and I was not disappointed 🏡. The room was spotlessly clean, and the soft furnishings were cozy and comfortable, giving it a very homey feel. The location is convenient for getting around and dining. The environment is quiet, so I had a great night's sleep. Communication was prompt, and the check-in process was simple and hassle-free. Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for both business trips and tourism. I've already saved it and will definitely stay here again next time.

The hygiene was terrible, the bed was rock hard, and the facilities were incredibly basic—not just basic, but on par with a roadside motel. Breakfast was awful and à la carte, not a buffet.

Our family always stays here when we travel. The rooms are acceptable, but the air conditioning is quite noisy. The hotel's location is great, just a 5-minute walk to the Bund. The night view from the room is lovely. Breakfast is à la carte, not a buffet, which is better than nothing. The best part is the free parking. The only annoying thing was that when we tried to leave the parking lot, the license plate recognition failed, and we had to go back and forth several times before we could exit.

I booked a river view room, but there was no river view at all, just trash outside the window. The description said rooms above the 7th floor, but we were given a low-floor room, and they wouldn't give us a higher one. This hotel is pure garbage and a rip-off. The hotel environment isn't good either; we share an elevator with residents, and waiting for the elevator takes forever. The outlets in the room didn't work. The front desk staff were all young and unprofessional, even flirting with each other at night. All in all, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, bar none. The room was a bit small, and there was no tissue paper in the bathroom. The breakfast option cost 40 yuan more than without, so I opted for it, especially since my child, under six, ate for free. However, when I saw the breakfast, it was just a bowl of congee, three shumai, a tea egg, and a small dish of pickled vegetables. For 40 yuan, I felt it wasn't worth it at all. It was a highly anticipated trip, but I was left disappointed.

Environment: This is an old hotel close to Pier 16 on the Huangpu River, but not the ¥2 ferry. The hotel environment is very average, with rather old facilities. The bed is very firm, suitable for people with back problems. Hygiene: Terrible. The gap between the toilet seat and the lid was full of unknown yellow substances. Service: There was no sense of guest-first service. The front desk staff always remained seated and gave short, uninterested replies when asked questions.

The air conditioning in the room was constantly making noise, so I couldn't sleep all night. For breakfast, they only gave one bowl of noodles. The congee was something I specifically requested for my baby. I wanted another bun, but they said it was past closing time and they didn't have any left. Extremely poor experience.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I got a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and check-in was efficient and quick. They were very responsive to my needs. The bathroom facilities were complete, with stable hot water and excellent hygiene. Overall, it offers great value for money, and the service was thoughtful and attentive. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I'm in the area. Highly recommend it to all travelers.
