Fondney Hotel Shanghai Hongqiao NECC

Good chinese hotel. Big rooms, comfortable beds, pillows. In bathroom is perfect hairdryer. Noce decoration. The pool is sitablefor kids, not for relax after work. Breakfast was almost basic. Location is in residential area and you must use a taxi.

The hotel is lovely with vintage glamour style and some touches of Old Shanghai. The lobby and rooms are stylish with lots of furniture. The location is very convenient for going to the airport or railway station. I was here just one night at the end of a long trip so I could be close to the railway station. If you order delivery, there is a cute robot that delivers it to your door as long as it can fit inside the robot’s cabinet. Very convenient! There is a big pool I didn’t get a chance to use but it really looked great, I regret not taking a dip in the morning. The breakfast left a lot to be desired for western options. Just toast and hard boiled eggs, some sausage links typical of Chinese style western breakfast. A couple cereal options and some pastries and cake. However there was a noodle station and some dumplings, etc that were pretty good. If you’re accustomed to Chinese breakfast it wasn’t bad, a step up from 7/11. Also, for me, the bed was way too hard, and it squeaked when adjusting position at night. I woke up with a sore back. My main disappointment was the lack of bellhop and concierge. I was ending a long trip and had a lot of luggage I had to carry up a few steps, since the driveway where taxis stop is not directly in front of the lobby door.

Very nice and specious room, good swimming pool! Staff - very little English. Didn’t go out of the hotel, so have no comment about the location. Good for relaxation and cooling down on hot days!

Amazing hospitality & very beautiful atmosphere ! I would like to thank all the team for assisting us in many question, also they did great room upgrade for us, which is very nice from their side. ❤️🫶🏻 Boutique style, very big rooms, makes our time in the hotel so special! We will return again and recommending to book these place if you need to spend a night while you travelling to the airport Hongqiao or Railway station. Also it so very near to the Exhibition center ! Great location ! Defiantly recommend to stay !

We really enjoyed our experience at this hotel, the rooms are incredibly comfortable and give the feeling of luxury. Staff are incredibly accommodating, convenient location, the hotel is also very nice. Overall an amazing experience. We wish to come again.

The stay experience is great! Their service are good!

The room was huge with 2 beds and a long L-sofa and desk, it was very convenient for us with a lot of luggages. The bathroom was also huge with a shower area and a bathtub allowing all of us to get ready together in the bathroom. The room felt comfy and at night some guests would hang out in the bar by the lobby, but we didnt get to explore much as we arrived quite late and only stayed for 1 night. Very satisfied with the room, even after considering the price. One cons is the location that was a bit far from the center of the area and Hongqiao Station. There were no stores by the hotel and require a little bit of walking to get to shops. We took a cab when taking our luggage to/from the railway station, which was around 15 mins away. Another alternative is taking the bus (there is a bus stop right across the hotel) which can bring you to the nearest metro station（徐泾东）within 4 stops.
