JI Hotel (Shanghai Xuhui Binjiang Greenland West Bund Art Center)

I'm still fuming that some people are trying to exchange good reviews for favors. I flat-out refused such a deal. Maybe I won't give you a good review, but I can clearly tell the business that I will definitely give you a bad one. My colleague and I were on a business trip and each booked two king rooms. The reception last night went on late, so I wanted to rest a bit longer. At 11 AM, I called the front desk to ask if I could get a late check-out. They asked me until what time, and I said 1 PM. They told me I had to add them on WeChat and write a good review on Trip.com for them to grant it. I asked them, "I'm a HUAZHU Gold member, don't I already have late check-out service?" They said it couldn't be used because I booked through Trip.com. I told them I also have late check-out privileges on Trip.com, but they insisted I add them on WeChat and send them a picture to write a good review. I'm speechless that there are still businesses like this. I told them I didn't need it anymore. I packed my bags and checked out immediately. I strongly condemn this kind of business practice. It's utterly disgusting. Your service isn't worth a single cent.

I had to stay here twice for business trips in the area. The first time, my room wasn't soundproof. The rain hitting the roof outside was really loud and greatly disturbed my sleep. The second time, I was in a room at the very end of the hall. Even with the AC set to 30 degrees, it was still very cold. The duvet felt icy and wouldn't warm up, and I woke up with a sore throat the next day. This stay was a far cry from the other Ji Hotels I'd been to recently, where 23 degrees was perfectly comfortable.
