Shanghai Kuke Zhishang Hotel (Nanjing West Road Subway Station Store)

Was very disappointed with this place. When I first arrived in the evening they informed me that there was loud construction happening from 8-6 that week and they could refund me if I didn't like it. After coming from a long flight and landing in the evening, I would have appreciated a heads up so I can make earlier arrangements. The room I received smelt like smoke, there was grime in the corners of the sink, there was no soap provided, and the toilet/shower were in cubicles right beside the bed. I had to move the day after because the stay was so uncomfortable.

I hope the hotel management sector get along with the clients and costumers and to strict tips for payments and other things.

Jen 高畅畅 was the reason why we stayed here so long. We booked this place, had a problem on trip, and she stayed behind after work to help book and call a other hotel when this was fully booked. We returned here and stayed for an additional week and a half. She speaks great english. The others couldn't but they'd try to help me through translation. Besides her, the hotel pictures sometimes did not do it justice. It was smaller than how I'd imagine it through the pictures. The price is the cheapest in the area and the room was reasonable. We had a double bed with window. There's a mesh screen so we aren't able to fully "open" the window and there isn't much of a view. More like some machinery. That was the same with my friends room who also got a room with a window. Also our bathroom kinda smelled like pee when we first came in. Otherwise, I liked that they replaced our toilet paper, 2 water bottles, and slippers every day. They also provide like 5 hangers. The AC was nice and cold. Doors are thin. You can hear the person outside your door. They refill the shampoo when it ran out. We stayed here a total of about 2 weeks. This place was near the popular areas, so everything I needed was walkable. Yes, I'd stay here again mostly because of the price. There's no place to store luggage after check in as the front office is super tiny. Some people store it outside the front but that is at your own risk.

THE HOTEL IS centrally located. Good for business man trips. Indian restaurant next to the hotel, 4-5 grocery family marts.

The hotel was not what I had expected at all. It did not look like the photos online. The room had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes and sewer. There was no sound insulation. I could hear people in their rooms as if we were in the same room. People were shouting in the hallways all through the night and I was woken up around 5am by a consistent banging sound coming from the level below that went on until around 7am. There was no hand soap in the room and there were moths on the towels. The girl at the front desk was very helpful in helping me cancel my second night and getting a refund.

A nice hotel close to the US embassy. The room was small, spent just the night there and left early morning. The receptionist even tried to show me a location of the place I was looking for. Everything was good for the price.
