## Location
The hotel boasts an excellent location. A subway station is right at its doorstep, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Nearby attractions are also just a short taxi ride away. Plus, the famous, time-honored Dong Taixiang restaurant is only a few steps away, and their Shengjianbao (pan-fried buns) are absolutely delicious!
## Hotel Environment
The lobby is spotlessly clean and has a pleasant, fresh scent. They even provide complimentary cooling drinks for guests, which is a thoughtful touch. There's also a Starbucks on the ground floor, where I enjoyed excellent coffee on two occasions.
## Service Staff
All the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant team, were exceptionally warm, friendly, and patient. The door staff were always ready to help with luggage and open doors.
## Room
Although it's an older, established hotel, it has been beautifully renovated and now feels very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean, which I greatly appreciated. Regarding the room size, in a city like Shanghai where space is truly at a premium, it's perfectly understandable. My only minor suggestion would be to slightly enlarge the bathroom; otherwise, I was genuinely satisfied with the room.
## Dining
Breakfast, if purchased separately, costs 50 RMB per person. The selection is rich and varied, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the taste is quite decent. I highly recommend the beef Lanzhou noodles; they are freshly made on-site, with a flavorful broth that is absolutely delicious! The coffee is also very good, though I'd suggest slightly larger cups.
The beautiful sights, the warm hospitality of the Shanghainese people, and the comfortable hotel all contributed to wonderful travel memories. I'll definitely choose to stay at the Mingzhu Hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai!
