Reviews of Yitel Premium (Shanghai people's Square Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street shop)

This is the second time we stay in Yitel Premium, superb location and service. Highly recommended if you’re planning to stay somewhere near Nanjing road

Good location near subway and access to road for taxi. Was assigned room facing shops which got quite noisy at night, concierge was immediately able to assign a different room facing a quieter side.

I stayed in a king-size room on the 5th floor. It was spacious, and the hot water supply was excellent, but the soundproofing was weak. The bathroom design was a nightmare – no door, and the toilet faced the entryway. The mirror light was dim and oddly placed, making it impossible to do makeup. Thankfully, the hotel's location and service were good.

The location is excellent- it is in the center of East Nanjing road, walking distance to the Michelin Lai Lai xiao long bao, the Bund, MRT East Nanjing and MRT People’s square. The room is big and clean. The cons is it is directly across the road in front of the hotel and need to quick to get out from Didi since that there is no waiting area for didi.

Awesome location, few min walk to metro. In the.middle of Nanjing walking street. Good housekeeping. Mattress and pillows are memory foam. Will come back again.

Lots of stairs!! And our room is so fair away with carpet on the hallway. Hard for use the carry our heavy  luggage to our room. However, the hotel location is very convince. We love it. Definitely come back for this hotel. There are a lot of good restaurants at the back of the hotel, u should try. The cleaner is very nice. She came to make our bedroom bed everyday and bring the trash our and bring new towels.

The staff so nice and the room clean But there are noisy from other room Guest from other country are being loud and i hear there noise.

Hotel is at perfect location, close to everything, especially many famous restaurants. The room is specious enough to open two large luggages. Bed is so comfortable. Only thing I do not like is they have only one elevator and very small.

Excellent location in Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Metro line 2 is within walking distance, line 1 will be slightly further. assigned room was at level 7 which was not served by the lift and was a maze to walk through. Room space was ok and there was a massage chair which was a pleasant surprise. however the interior of the room was slightly dated (black furniture and yellow lighting). room cleanliness was average at best. floor felt dusty and the sheets gave me a bit of a rash. counter staff were friendly and accomodating and facilitated collection of my online purchases. having said, this hotel seems to be very popular among tourists from Russia, S Korea and Southeast Asia. overall i would say i enjoyed my stay here.

Amazing location with very helpful staff! You are right next to the famous Nanjing road and a 10 min away from the beautiful bund view and thr river. The rooms are nice and cozy and really have a nice aesthetic to them. The view is after the 10 min walk.

This place was okay, I would not book here again. It is definitely in a good spot right downstairs is Nanjing road so you have alot of shopping and food halls right outside your room. Staff is super friendly and very helpful especially the cleaning staff. Made sure we got water atleast once a day and would ask us if we need new towels if they saw us. Depending on where they put you, you may end up having to take a pretty far walk to your hotel room. You’ll need to take an elevator up to the main lobby and depending on the room you will need to take another elevator up. But if you are on an floor higher then 6 be prepared to hike to your room most inconvenient part of the stay to be honest. The room also has an AC, Heater option you can set which is very handy and a window that can open partially. The room was overall nice and clean but the compliments stop there, as the room is way to dim especially the bathroom cant really see much in there and it is also very tiny you can barely move in there. You literally cannot close the door if you’re standing at the sink or sitting on the toilet. The shower drain also has a bad smell like sewer pipes that come up when youre using the shower and it takes awhile for it to go away. The shower pressure was okay until my 3rd day there and when I showered the water pressure was non existent and limp even tho the water is being poured on my body the pressure was so low it didnt even feel like anything was hitting me. At one point the pressure dropped to 0 and it was trickling out the shower head. The next morning though it was back to normal so not sure what happened. The shower area also floods the bathrooms as we had 3 rooms and all rooms had some form of flooding post shower. And 1 was really bad. Which we complained about and they gave us another room.   They also had a laundry room with 3 small washers and 3 small dryers not ment for bulk washing, and also free detergent. The washer was good but the dryer… unless you are ready to hang dry your clothes do not wash your clothes here as we ran the clothes in the dryer for 2-3 hrs and the clothes were still damp. And when we asked the staff they told us the dryer only dries enough for it to stay damp and you will need to air dry the rest which is ridiculous. Why have a dryer when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do? Make it make sense. Overall besides location and friendly staff there is definitely better locations to choose from. I would not stay here again.

Great location. 30 m. to the shipping area of Nanjing. Only some staffs can speak Eng. You need Google translate or other app to help. The family room is OK for 3 guests. The room is not that big. It is hard to find bigger room here in this area. The price is good for 3 person.

Excellent location! Hotel was right on the main shopping street and is just about 5-10mins walk from the train station. Also just a short 20-30mins walk to the bund!

The location was great, in the heart of Nanjing Road. The size of the room was very good. The presence of the free laundry machines was a lovely bounce. Highly recommend.
