the Shanghai EDITION

The rooms at The Edition are amazing! The entire experience from check-in to check-out was wonderful. The hotel has a very stylish overall interior design with great natural lighting. Cynthia was especially attentive and thoughtful. This is a must-stay hotel whenever I'm in Shanghai!

Following Reykjavik, Sanya, and Dali, this is my fourth time checking in at an EDITION. The service and comfort were consistently top-notch. I saw someone online jokingly calling an EDITION a 'mega-All Seasons'—that is ridiculous! From the public areas to the rooms, and from the service to the hardware, it's a completely different league of hotel. Edric provided exceptionally meticulous service, introducing the room to me and carefully asking about my preferences, which made me feel truly well-cared-for. I'll definitely contact him in advance for my next stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the Bund, which allows you to visit late at night (around 10 PM) or early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Besides fruit, they also offered complimentary chocolates, which were delicious. The scallion oil noodles and crab shell pastries for breakfast were incredibly tasty; I'm still thinking about them. The cleanliness was also top-notch, and the environment was quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. Additionally, Elaine's service was very satisfying – she was responsive and provided help promptly.

Chose The Edition for my National Day trip, and it really delivered some great photos! The hotel service was excellent, especially my butler Cynthia. She's a very kind young lady who promptly helped me with my requests. The brunch at the Western restaurant on the first floor was also quite good!

A truly wonderful stay! The service was exceptional, with Colin being particularly attentive and thoughtful. The breakfast ordering and quality were both excellent!

A special thanks to Elaine for the thoughtful arrangements, helping us get rooms on the same floor and preparing welcome fruits. The service was very considerate, and the staff were warm and polite. We could even see the Oriental Pearl Tower from our room. The stay was a great experience!

Our stay at The Edition was fantastic! I absolutely loved the cozy, home-like feel of the wooden decor. The hotel's location is also superb. A special shout-out to our butler, Elaine, who was incredibly thoughtful and warm! She knew it was my birthday and arranged a simple decoration for us, and even surprised us with a small cake and welcome fruit. The service was impeccable. Our room also came with Le Labo samples, and I happily took home the slippers and toiletry bag. It definitely lives up to its premium price; I'll definitely be back!

The room was very clean and the hotel environment was great. The view outside the window was beautiful. We went to the pool between 5-6 PM and it was empty, so we had a very comfortable swim. The water was clean and odorless. Cynthia showed us to our room; she was very polite, explained everything thoroughly, and was always willing to help. She had a wonderful demeanor. I would choose this hotel again next time and specifically ask for Cynthia. Hehe.
