Mehood Lestie Hotel (Shanghai Jiaotong University Dongchuan Road)

I booked online and thanks to the lovely front desk agent for understanding and upgrading my room. It made my business trip perfect; I slept very comfortably, and the service was excellent, especially in the restaurant where the staff were all very warm and attentive.

The hotel is right next to the light rail, so it gets quite noisy at night. Breakfast selection is limited, but the front desk staff are very warm and helpful. The room itself was clean, though there were some mosquitoes. There's a Hema Fresh nearby, and a Longfor Tianjie mall about a 10-minute walk away. A nice touch is that they offer noodles for supper until 10 PM!

Seriously, who knew?! I originally booked the Mehood Lestie just for convenience, but it totally won me over! 😭 It's right by Exit 4 of Dongchuan Road Station on Metro Line 5 – I swear I barely took a step before I was there. A lazy person's dream, seriously! Plus, Longfor Paradise Walk is right next door, so I could shop and eat to my heart's content. When I got tired, I just strolled back to my room to crash – faster than ordering takeout (the delivery guy couldn't even keep up with me). It's also close to Jiao Tong University, so I went for an evening walk on campus, pretending I was still a college student (I'm not, lol). But the absolute best part was Wan Jie and Xiao Na at the front desk. These two ladies were hilarious, like a comedy duo. They were all smiles during check-in and made me laugh so much I almost forgot to show my ID. Any request I had, they were on it instantly, quick and efficient – no fuss, just pure comfort! Next time I'm in Minhang, I'm definitely staying here again. Locked in! 🔒 Five stars, absolutely!

The hotel isn't super new, and the facilities are a bit dated, but the service attitude is excellent. They offer free late-night noodles or rice vermicelli, and while the breakfast selection isn't huge, the pancakes are delicious. The uncle who cooks the noodles has a fantastic service attitude.

This hotel is close to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and right across from the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. The service was attentive and thoughtful, the room was clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

I stayed here for a business trip. Usually, I don't leave reviews and just default to giving a good rating, but after two nights, there were way more issues than just these few, haha! 1. Cobwebs! Not the old, dusty kind in corners, but actual, fresh cobwebs hanging on the wall. I saw them the moment I checked in. 2. The toilet was old and didn't work well. The lid slammed down loudly. There were still garbage stains on the lid, and even after flushing, it looked disgusting. I had to line it with paper myself. 3. They didn't proactively replace consumables during my extended stay – the toothbrush and gargle cup weren't replaced. I left and came back to find them in the exact same spot, untouched. 4. The overall decor is indeed old, but I can't understand why the cleaning process seems to be just for show. 5. The staff on duty the night I checked in had very poor service awareness. 6. What's with the 'third-party massage' thing? That was pretty awkward.

The room was very clean and the location was quiet. It was also convenient for dining out, and super close to the subway station – a really great spot! The staff were very friendly and even upgraded my room for free to one with a small balcony, which I loved. Breakfast was also very good. Overall, a great stay.

The hotel was excellent! I got a complimentary room upgrade upon check-in, and they even offered late-night snacks. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the restaurant service was superb, especially Manager Wan. It was a fantastic experience overall!

This hotel is incredibly convenient, right next to my home. The front desk area and the hotel's design are both beautiful and elegant. They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, and the pointed roof made it feel even larger, almost like being in Southeast Asia. A great experience overall.
