Shanghai Lianzheng Hotel (People's Square Subway Station)

I guess you get what you pay for. It's not very soundproof, so it was noisy. The room's cleanliness was also just average. However, the front desk lady had a good service attitude and check-in was very quick.

The hygiene was absolutely terrible. The bathroom had a foul odor that permeated the entire room. When I reported it to the front desk, nothing was done. Their idea of cleaning was just emptying the trash bin, but they didn't even bother to pick up the garbage next to it. The pillowcases were torn, and the bath towels were yellowed and worn out. And don't even get me started on the 'ingenious' hairdryer design – the cord was ridiculously short, and it wasn't even installed near the mirror. Plus, there was a table underneath, so to blow-dry my hair, I had to stand next to the table and crane my neck over. But the absolute worst part was that every time a subway passed by, both the toilet door and the sink would vibrate. Truly a one-of-a-kind 'experience'!

Great location, prime spot. The front desk staff were warm and helpful, very convenient for getting around, and the bed was super comfortable!

I highly recommend this hotel! As soon as I walked into the lobby, I felt comfortable. The room had great natural light, was well-equipped, and everything felt new. The bathroom was completely odor-free. The breakfast had a huge variety and tasted great. The staff were always available, super friendly, and made my stay incredibly pleasant!
