No need to go to Shanghai Tower for night views, you can get amazing ones right from the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao. The room was spotlessly clean, and汤臣一品 is right downstairs. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Plus, it's super convenient for transport and dining.

It's definitely a bit old, but then again, it's a memory for many old Shanghainese. Given its location and view, I guess occupancy isn't an issue. The lounge is worth visiting, but the guest rooms might be a bit challenging for those with a fear of heights.

The service is thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive; they're always there when you need them and are very polite, making for a truly comfortable stay.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai for a business trip, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel's location in the heart of Lujiazui is perfect for business travelers, offering seamless access to the financial district and connecting directly to major malls. The Guest Room on the high floor provided a quiet and comfortable environment, ensuring a restful sleep after busy workdays. The highlight was definitely the Guest Club on the 83rd floor. The executive lounge offered a professional atmosphere for informal meetings, and the Happy Hour provided a great selection of food with an incredible view of the sunset over the Huangpu River. The staff were highly efficient and professional, handling all my requests promptly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shanghai for work.

Very satisfied with this hotel! The location is superb, really close to the subway station, and the view of the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower is fantastic. There are also lots of convenient dining options nearby. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The best surprise was the Dyson hairdryer – so many hotels have old, weak hairdryers, so this was a real plus. I couldn't seem to find any complimentary tea bags though? If there really aren't any, that would be a good improvement.

Summary: Aside from the cleanliness, it's a completely negative review. Even though I've stayed here many times, it seems to be getting worse. Cleanliness: A big thank you to the cleaning staff. I was on a long business trip abroad and my room was quite messy, but they still tidied it up wonderfully 👍 Now for the absolutely terrible parts ⬇️ Environment: The hotel management must be desperate for money. They actually turned rooms on the guest floors into commercial venues. A few days ago, it was just the 61st, 62nd, and 63rd floors. But on the third day, it spread to the 64th floor. I went downstairs to grab something in the morning and came back up to the 64th floor. From the 58th floor to the 64th floor, the elevator stopped on every single floor!!! And it was packed with people. During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you had to queue for the elevator twice. You had to queue from the 1st floor concierge to the 54th-floor lobby, and then queue again from the 54th-floor lobby to your room. I don't even need to mention how crowded the 54th floor already was. There were all sorts of people; the 54th-floor lobby was a complete hodgepodge. Service: I've always given full marks for the service before, but not this time 😬 If it weren't for Ctrip's restrictions, I'd want to give a 'negative score.' In my company, this would be grounds for immediate dismissal, and even labor laws would support me. I reported that the 64th floor was crowded and noisy, and I was also suffering from a severe flu. So I explained my situation through Ctrip, and the platform contacted the hotel. The hotel called my room and said they would upgrade me to a diplomatic suite. This is where things became absurd. The phone agent even specially reminded me that the diplomatic suite was quite expensive and if I wanted to extend my stay, I'd have to go back to my original room type... I was speechless. Honestly, they could have just asked me to pay the difference, or offered a discounted rate for the difference as an apology. I think that would have been a much better approach. Facilities: The outdatedness is beyond words. Perhaps the only thing keeping up with the times is the Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom 🤷 Note: The main reason for this negative review is the blind and chaotic decision-making by the management. If the hotel management dares to criticize, or take passive actions or measures against the hotel's frontline service staff because of my negative review, I will schedule a meeting with the hotel management, and I will bring Ctrip's regional manager with me. Let's have a chat!

During the May Day holiday, I took my granddaughter on a little getaway. Since all the tourist spots were packed, we decided to stay in Shanghai and find a hotel with a pool where we could just relax. After comparing several five-star hotels, I ultimately chose the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. I booked a family twin room with two queen-sized beds (1.5m each), and upon arrival, they upgraded me to a river view room. Stepping into the lobby on the 54th floor, the Lujiazui skyline immediately came into view. Our room, on a higher floor (70-80th floor), had floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Huangpu River and the Bund's historic buildings – the night view was truly stunning, like a painting. The heated indoor pool on the 24th floor offers breathtaking views of the Pudong skyline while you swim, creating an amazing 'in the clouds' workout experience, though the water temperature was a bit on the cool side. The room itself was spacious with a grand layout, blending modern design with subtle Chinese details, giving it a premium feel. Breakfast on the 57th floor: The selection was extensive, allowing us to leisurely enjoy our meal until nearly noon. The high-altitude dining atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick, and the staff were friendly. The location is superb and incredibly convenient. Situated in the heart of Lujiazui, it's within walking distance of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and IFC Mall, and has direct underground access to the Shanghai Tower. It's also just a 10-minute drive to the Bund and Yu Garden, easily accessible by subway or taxi, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
