Location in between Hongqiao Railway and Rock Bund, closer to Jin’an. Staycation worthy, good breakfast, best deal in area. Nice holiday display. Maybe the sauna was average, but the pool and gym well. Possibly some staff not motivated in various areas of the hotel. Not sure why a snack bar price list was in the room with just two waters and tea. Very clean room and pretty view.

This is an old, well-established five-star hotel in Shanghai. The environment and cleanliness are top-notch, and the service is absolutely impeccable. The facilities are more comprehensive and well-maintained than your average hotel, and the price is quite reasonable. Compared to other newer hotels, I definitely recommend staying here.

This is a five-star hotel with a budget hotel experience. The towels were frayed, the curtains wrinkled, and the sofa untidy. The elevator noise kept me from sleeping. Personally, I wouldn't stay here a second time.

The room was clean and offered city views. However, the assigned room wasn't facing the direction shown in the pictures, even though it was on a higher floor. You need to book the rooftop restaurant a day in advance for dinner and afternoon tea, but you can just walk in for drinks. The room temperature and water pressure were excellent. The Shanghai restaurant around the corner downstairs also had great food. Getting around was quite convenient. I even got to see the Shanghai sunrise in the morning!

The Shanghai New Jinjiang Hotel is a five-star hotel situated in the heart of Shanghai's Huaihai Road. Although it's an older hotel, dating back to the reform and opening-up period, it has been renovated and refurbished, ensuring its facilities and environment remain top-notch. The service standards haven't dropped either; the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, restaurant, and doormen, are all very warm and attentive to guests. The hotel has two standout features worth praising: first, the guest room windows can be opened slightly for ventilation, which is much more comfortable than the sealed windows found in most high-end hotels. Second, it boasts the uniquely designed and decorated Blue Sky Revolving Restaurant, where dining is a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend it with five stars.

Nice location, decent hotel, big cues for breakfast. Not enough breakfast space. On the positive side there were good views from the Blue Sky roatating restaurant up on the 41st and 42 floors. The room was Ok, it came with a TV a bed and small couch on the side and a bathtub. The hotel also came with a sauna, a giant pool and a hot jacuzzi. A bit outdated feel and service good but not excellent.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent; it's a ten-minute walk to my partner company, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it incredibly convenient for commuting and errands. The room layout is simple and practical, with ample natural light and excellent soundproofing that completely blocks out outside noise. The bedding was clean and soft, the bathroom facilities were spotless and odor-free, and the toiletries were of high quality. The high-speed WiFi was stable and smooth, perfectly meeting my mobile office needs, and the desk height and chair comfort were well-suited for long hours of work. The front desk service was efficient and professional, with quick check-in and check-out procedures, meaning no waiting at all. Housekeeping was prompt, actively refilling drinking water and consumables daily. The hotel offers outstanding value for money, making it an excellent choice for both short business stays and longer work trips. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip.

Excellent location and reasonable price. We received a free upgrade to a spacious Villa Suite. Unfortunately, the interior designer placed the bed directly in front of the TV, making it impossible to enjoy the beautiful view from bed. The bed was comfortable and soundproofing was good. Areas for improvement: - Breakfast: A wide selection, but the overall quality was poor. We tried both Western and Chinese dishes, and even the wontons were just passable. - The bread and pastries were unacceptable. - The room had an espresso machine, but no coffee capsules were provided, only drip coffee bags... - The sofa in the living area had a patch of different colored fabric. This slapdash repair contradicts the idea of quality service; the hotel should pay more attention to details (see photo). - There were no power outlets near the bed or at the desk.

I was a bit worried the Jin Jiang Hotel might be showing its age and have outdated facilities, but it turned out to be excellent! The lobby is still grand and impressive. The front desk service was attentive and thorough; they even proactively upgraded my room. The room itself was quite spacious, and the view from the 38th floor was great.

A grand old five-star hotel. The ceiling height felt a bit low, and parking wasn't very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful, with about half the guests being foreigners. On the bedside tables, there were two lamps, but I couldn't find the switch! 😇 The next day, I specifically asked a staff member and discovered the switches were connected to the lamp bases. There was a round hole on the bedside table, and wouldn't you know it, the switches had fallen into the holes on both sides… I never would have guessed!

An old hotel in the city center, but very comfortable. The only downside is the difficult parking.

Thanks to the upgrade for the room type I booked. This is the sixth stay for the senior couple, and they absolutely rave about the Jinjiang Tower, praising its location, environment, views, facilities, and cleanliness. It's their top choice when visiting Shanghai, definitely a solid quasi-five-star hotel! The shower pressure is still strong, and the soundproofing remains excellent.

The hotel's location is convenient. There's a supermarket and a shopping mall within a 5-minute walk. The service is decent, nothing spectacular, but the value for money is exceptional. I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast is quite plentiful and reasonably good.

This hotel was a serendipitous find for our family trip. It has a strong state-owned enterprise vibe, an excellent location, but might not be on the radar for younger travelers. The hotel is conveniently located just across a 5-meter road from Exit 3 of Huaihai Road Middle Station on Metro Line 13. However, the entrance is a bit narrow, and parking space is limited, so I'd recommend using public transport. The hotel is very well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The staff are highly professional, polite, and presentable. A special mention goes to the housekeeping staff; they were exceptionally courteous, with a distinct 'state-owned enterprise executive' style – take that as you will, haha. Overall, I found their service attitude and sense of boundaries to be excellent. Upon check-in, the front desk staff learned it was our first stay and kindly offered a complimentary upgrade to a high-floor room with a view. From there, we could take in the most central panoramic views of Puxi, Shanghai, which was a truly generous gesture. Many thanks! Breakfast was more organized than I expected. Given the hotel's high number of floors, I was worried it would be crowded, but the actual situation was well within acceptable limits. Generally, the food's hygiene, taste, and variety were all good. However, perhaps due to the larger number of guests at breakfast, some individual staff members occasionally seemed a bit rushed in their responses, but overall, it was very good. The room was exceptionally spacious, and the bathroom facilities were all well-maintained. Here are a couple of suggestions: 1) The air conditioning is centrally managed by the hotel for cooling. During certain seasons, the AC cannot be turned on (for example, it was winter during our stay, but the weather was actually quite warm these two days), so we had to ask hotel staff to help open the windows. 2) There was a lack of readily available power outlets on the bedside tables (I'm not sure if this is due to a 'state-owned enterprise standardization'), which made charging devices a little inconvenient. Overall, considering the price, location, and service, it was a very good experience. Thank you!
