This hotel boasts an excellent location on the Huangpu River, right in the heart of the city, with a direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. You can step downstairs and walk along the river, enjoying fantastic views of both the river and the city skyline. I booked a river-view room in the Purple Gold Tower, and the kind gentleman at the front desk even upgraded me to a river-view suite – it was absolutely stunning! The Bund and Huangpu River across the way are beautiful both day and night. The value for money here is exceptional. Even the complimentary Evian mineral water for tea was a nice touch. You can easily walk to the Huangpu River and iconic landmarks right from the hotel. The executive lounge's breakfast and dinner were exquisite and delicious, and the drinks were great too, all while enjoying amazing views. I stayed for three nights and had a wonderful trip. Stayed here with my family during the Chinese New Year holiday. We had our New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel's Guangzhou Restaurant, and the room view was absolutely stunning, directly facing the Oriental Pearl Tower. The facilities were also great, spacious and comfortable. The lion dance on the first day of the New Year was lively and brought back a wonderful sense of tradition. So, choosing to spend New Year's Eve here was definitely the right decision.

This stay was for the Shanghai Half Marathon. The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, the subtle fragrance and soft lighting instantly washed away my travel fatigue. The staff were very friendly and handled check-in efficiently and thoughtfully. They even upgraded my room type, and the river view room was beautiful. The room itself was clean and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the pillow height was just right, ensuring a great night's sleep. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning panoramic view of the city at night. They even provided a complimentary fruit platter upon arrival, showcasing their attention to detail. The breakfast selection was rich and varied. From the facilities to the service details, everything made me feel incredibly welcome. This will definitely be my top choice for future trips.

Great location and excellent service! It's right opposite IFC, which makes shopping super convenient. Really good value for money! The service was fantastic, the environment was clean and hygienic, and the cleanliness was also good. The facilities are a bit old, but overall it's still a good place. Thumbs up!

In my room, the floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Huangpu River and Lujiazui skyline like a living painting. From the softness of the bedding to the smart bathroom system, every detail reflected an ultimate pursuit of comfort. The afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge featured scones that were perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, paired with fragrant Earl Grey tea. The breeze from the river outside and the tranquility inside created a wonderful harmony. For dinner, the chef's recommended dishes blended local ingredients with international techniques, each bite a gentle delight for the taste buds. Upon departure, the front desk presented me with a small gift and a 'We look forward to seeing you again,' which extended the warmth of the trip. This isn't just a place to rest; it's a poetic urban retreat woven with meticulous details and heartfelt warmth.
