JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong

I had pre-booked a bed rail with the hotel, and it was already installed upon check-in. They also thoughtfully prepared children's amenities and a welcome fruit platter. Communication with customer service beforehand was smooth, and both check-in and check-out were seamless.

The room was spacious and excellent, with beautiful views. The service was warm and the facilities were complete. We were very satisfied. We booked a family room, and the floor was well-decorated; there were many cute animal plush toys right outside the elevator. My daughter loved it. We'll definitely stay here again in the future.

The room was great, the river view was beautiful, the service was attentive, and the decor was lovely. The only minor downsides were that the bathtub didn't come with a bath liner and the trash can didn't have a trash bag – perhaps for environmental reasons? Also, I couldn't figure out how to switch the bathtub faucet, and after fumbling for a while, water still only came out of the showerhead. Overall, I was very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who loves river views. (Wembly)

This was my first stay at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai, and it was a very comfortable experience. I chose a river view executive room, located on the top floor of the hotel. You can see the Huangpu River from the window, and the night view is stunning. The hotel room's inclined floor-to-ceiling windows are a unique feature, allowing you to lie down and enjoy the river view. The environment, facilities, and hygiene were all excellent. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

The kids' floor was thoughtfully designed, and they had all the necessary children's amenities. The heated pool with a shallow area was a big hit with our little one. Strolling along the Huangpu River in the mornings and evenings was so relaxing. The hotel itself is luxurious and grand, and the service was incredibly attentive. It's ideal for a short family getaway. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, plus local Shanghai snacks. The noodle station, where they cooked noodles fresh, was very popular and catered well to kids' tastes. The hotel is right next to the riverside promenade. Highly recommended!
