Stayed for a night with a friend over the weekend. The room was well-maintained and didn't feel old at all. After our evening walk nearby, we went for a swim in the hotel pool. It wasn't crowded, and the water temperature was just right. The breakfast selection the next morning was sufficient, and the food was consistently good. The staff also cleared plates promptly. Overall, there were no noticeable shortcomings; it was one of those stays that made you feel like you 'chose the right hotel'.

We brought our kids to Shanghai and our package happened to include a complimentary photoshoot. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how natural the photos turned out. The photographer helped us find good angles and gave simple posing tips, so even though we're not usually comfortable in front of the camera, we didn't feel awkward at all. In the end, we picked a few photos taken at the hotel, which made for a nice souvenir of our Shanghai trip. The room was comfortable too, and the staff were very patient with the children.
