Very central hotel close to shopping malls, the subway and the Bund. Room was perfect; clean spacious and had a great view from our cute balcony. The service was ok. The staff did their job but we don’t feel anyone went ‘above and beyond’ like they do in other hotels that we have stayed at (just a personal opinion and perhaps we have been spoilt in other locations). Afternoon tea was good. Breakfast was so so but they did make a bowl of noodles.

Able to see that hotel is slightly rundown but it just add to the part of vintage look. Very spacious area, separate bathtub, shower and toilet area. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist and I have TB parcels sent over which they will help to receive. Area is near nanjing road and metro exit is right across the road. No issues getting around.

This is a very good hotel opposite MRT people square exit 14 but has no elevator so if you have big or large luggage you need to walk up the stairs. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping changes the bed sheet everyday. The front speaks English and they are really helpful. The mini bars are all free everyday. Every room has a bathtub and the shower is in the middle of the bathtub on top of the ceiling.

Best location for shopping at nanjing pedestrian street. Hotel was very beautiful and clean with a vintage touch. Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely book again.

Convenient location - easy access to nearby metro. Walkable distance to nanjing street road and the bund. The room was spacious. The staff are friendly.

Hotel location is convenient to subway people square station at exit 14-15. It is opposite to mall where you can find the food and shopping. Just 2 blocks walk to nanjing road. I love good smell in lobby and room. We are a family of 4 (3 adults 1 child). I booked room with extra bed and I got upgraded to bigger room. Room is big, clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and can speak english.

Pros - room is big for art deco. Location is great. Cons - centralise air con which we cant hv control in temp. Also demand for deposit if u r staying more than 4 days.

We had a 2 night stay at the historic Yangtze Boutique Hotel. Very easy to get to by Metro. People's Square exit 14 and you will be right there. Everything about this hotel is pure class. The hotel has a unique and interesting history that they embrace and present beautifully. As you can see in the pictures the room itself is luxurious and very very comfortable. Attention to detail is found throughout the hotel including the unique displays on each floor highlighting Old Shanghai history. Our stay coincided with Typhoon Beibijia 贝碧嘉 - the strongest storm to hit Shanghai since 1949. The professional and friendly staff made sure we were well informed and taken care of. Thank you to all for your hard work during that time. If you are looking for a high end boutique hotel experience that captures the Old Shanghai history and also puts you right in the best location to see modern day Shanghai attractions like The Bund, Nanjing Lu and People's Park you will find it with this wonderful hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent just few steps to the mall and metro station (people square station), the room is very clean with large comfortable bed and bathroom with bathtub and aircond. Overall we enjoyed our stayed for 6nights

We enjoyed our extended stay (7 days) at the hotel due to the flight rescheduling caused by Typhoon Bebika. The service was excellent, special thanks to Front Desk manager Violet who organized early checked in after our long flight from London. Wide selection of good quality food was offered at the breakfast on the 8th Floor. The location of the hotel is very strategic. People Square Metrostation only 300 m away and the Nanjing Road Shopping st and the Bund is within walking distance.

Lovely hotel with superb location. Comfortable rooms and perfect service makes Yangtze hotel a 5 star good review hotel stay reccomendation. Well done guys!
