Reviews of China Grain Hotel

Lovely hotel. Some parts of the room bathroom and pool bathroom are getting old. But overall a good stay.

We went to the hotel to have a *relaxing* time for 4 days-3nights; that was our purpose when booking the China Grain Hotel, next to a big park with view on a lake, and far from the city centre: to enjoy a relaxing time. We were happy to arrive and discover our room. All in all clean (except for the scale; VERY dirty...). However the lobby was left VERY DIRTY (as it can be seen on the picture) the whole night! This is inadmissible in a hotel of such standing. The bad moment came the next morning when we literarily got scolded by an employee/manager in the restaurant at breakfast for preparing taking out the food we had left (in order to not waste any); her manners were terrible even if the hotel has a policy of not taking out food left (which apparently was not true since there was a sign saying: don't waste, take out your food). The matter would have been easily forgotten if she only had nicer manners and just let us know it was not allowed at the China Grain Hotel (whereas at some other 4- and 5-star hotels, it is absolutely accepted), but instead she was aggressive in her manners, and just destroyed the nice mood we had for the rest of our stay ... since we had booked for 3 breakfasts (we tried to cancel them, but it wasn't possible). The food at the breakfast wasn't very pleasant, there was no skill shown in making those dishes, and lots of it was mainly frozen food warmed up! Highly suggesting future clients to avoid their breakfast, there are no healthy options, and we are being refused when we ask if some personal preferences could be made, such as an omelette or scrambled eggs rather than just a heavily fried sunny egg (quite dry ... and cold, because they had been done in large quantities). It was not a terrible experience, but it was definitely enough to recommend others to look for other/better options. Location is very good, the rest was disappointing for a 4- 5-star hotel.

Oktried and tested, reliable, reasonably priced, solid service

Great view to the park and also really close to the subway. But the hotel is a little bit old but still has good equipped rooms.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service from the receptionist was exceptional — friendly, professional, and very accommodating. I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, but they kindly allowed me to check in early without any hassle. The entire check-in process took less than a minute, which was incredibly efficient and appreciated after a long trip.

I recently stayed at the China Grain Hotel and was very delighted. The pricing is excellent, offering great value for money. The staff were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure us a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a luxurious experience at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

This is a difficult stay to review. Seven years ago today, we stayed at the Xiao Nan Guo Hotel. The environment and service were excellent. Staying there again is truly unbearable. I was devastated. The mirror was directly across from the bed, and the front desk told me it was nothing and said I was the first to bring it up (what? Do you think I'm a bother? And I smoke… I was speechless). We upgraded our room, but the lights in the room didn't work either. They flickered when I turned them on, and they were too dim when they turned them off… I even scanned the QR code to leave a complaint with the general manager, but I'm not sure if they'll improve it! I won't be back! I really won't be back!
