HanTing Hotel (Shanghai Wujiaochang Fudan University)

The room was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the Suzhou-style noodles. The staff (young ladies) were also very kind and provided excellent service. I'll definitely stay here again whenever I'm in the area.

The room was spacious and bright with a lovely view outside the window. The staff were very warm and attentive. Overall, it's excellent value for money, and the location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient to visit nearby attractions and shopping areas.

I usually don't write reviews, but this hotel stay was exceptionally bad. First, the family room we booked was tiny, much smaller than other Hanting hotels I've stayed at before. Second, the ground floor room had a strong smell of secondhand smoke, which seemed to come from nowhere and made our throats sore. Third, there were urine stains on the toilet that weren't cleaned – truly disgusting. Finally, the front desk service wasn't just unenthusiastic; guests even had to retrieve their own toiletries. What kind of service is that?! All the other Hanting hotels I've stayed in have a consistent cedar scent, but this one didn't smell good and felt damp... I've stayed at many Hanting hotels in different locations, but I honestly can't find a single positive thing about this one. I have to vent. To be frank, who would stay here if it weren't for its proximity to Fudan University??? My trip for a conference was already stressful, and this hotel just added insult to injury. Sigh. Do out-of-towners not deserve respect in Shanghai???

The room quality is excellent, with good air circulation and large windows. It's compact but comfortable, and conveniently located for getting around.

The environment is great. The front desk lady on the evening of the 27th at 9 PM was very friendly and promptly came to fix the washing machine when there was an issue. Thumbs up!

I booked this place for a show. Honestly, it was quite pricey, I think over 400 RMB a night, and it wasn't even a holiday. The hotel was pretty busy in the evening. I got a small single room on the first floor, which was okay in terms of cleanliness. The location near Wujiaochang is super convenient for dining. I'd have to give it a 'just okay' rating.
