Shanghai Huaihai Hotel

Hotel is a little on the older side, would suggest to bring your own toiletries as the shampoo and soap is not the best. However, the location made up for it. Extremely convenient to get around the major attractions in Shanghai.

The location is perfect. Nearby a family mart and a few restaurants which are 24/7 open. However, the air conditioning had issues which was told upon arrival. This made the room smell very musty. The cleanliness in the bathroom could be better.

Cleanliness. 8/10 Facilities 7/10 Service 8/10 Room fitting and furniture 7/10 Location 8/10 Room cleanliness good. Facilities mostly provided. Room will be a bit stuffy for those room that do not have window during winter time as air circulation is not provided. Only during summer time room are provided with aircon. Service good while communicate in Chinese. The guys at the front counter helpful and try to communicate even using phone to interact with people not spoken Chinese. Room fitting and furniture good but need some improvement as thing start to get old. Hotel locations near by has a lot of place to eat. Around 300m to travel to the nearest subway stations. Far a bit for traveler with beg from subway to hotel locations but easy for causal walk to the station.
