Ji Hotel (Shanghai Lujiabang Road Metro Station)

I stayed 4 nights with my family. The room hotel is good, except a Little dusty in room. The food is quite good. Good location, near from metro. And in front of hotel have a halte bus. The hotel staff are very polite, and helpful. I can't speak mandarin, and the receptionist (miss Elena) wann help me with WeChat for any problem. The tea is delicious

Great location with a mall beside that we are obsessed with for the food and quick lunch options. Very convenient and quiet! Rooms are slightly smaller but it is ok! Staffs seems abit tired at the end of shifts but all is good

Overall i will recommend Ji Hotel to everyone (It’s AI controlled for the room) This Hotel located just beside the Metro Station (Lujiabang) its very convenient to go to everywhere included The Bund/Pearl Tower etc. Opposite there is Family Mart, beside the Hotel there is Pizza Hut, Mcdonald and inside is a Mall. Although i did not fully utilized the Breakfast everyday, the choices of the breakfast is average, have some Dim Sum and porridge with bread toast. Finally, i appreciated all the little good services by the employee over there.

The staffs are helpful but most of them spoke chinese only. I booked non-smoking room but when i could smell of cigarettes.

Compared to other branches of JI Hotel, the front desk at this branch is slightly less friendly. The rooms in this hotel are spacious, but the amenities show signs of aging, including the toilet, which has a lot of dirt that cannot be removed. Additionally, the air conditioning isn’t functioning well; the temperature remains around 26-27 degrees Celsius, even after informing the front desk, they didn’t assist in resolving it. However, the hotel's location is good. Within a 2-minute walk to the left side of the hotel, you can reach the metro. Additionally, there is a shopping mall next to the hotel and a Family Mart opposite the hotel.

The most disappointing part of my Shanghai trip will be my stay at Ji Hotel. I saw good review and i have high expectation that the hotel will be a good stay for me and my wife. Location - The location is consider great if you don't like to stay in the busiest street of Shanghai (Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street). A neighborhood mall is located right next to the hotel. Very good selection of food/drinks & coffee shop can be found in the mall and the metro station is located right below the mall. Travelling to the attraction is consider convenient for me as their train come every 2-3 mins. Cleanliness - The first room i am assigned to is rather dirty. Saw food crumble and hairs on the floor. The second room is quite okay. Service - Most of the local i meet are quite honest and friendly but the receptionist for Ji Hotel are unexpected rude and not honest. I traveled to Shanghai at the month of March 2024 and the weather fluctuate crazily high and low. Some day can be near 30 degree Celsius and another day can be as low as 10 degree Celsius. The first room we get have no window (= no ventilation at all) and we turned on the air-con to keep the air circulating but the air-con is blowing warm air instead of cold air when i set it to cold mode at 16 degree Celcius. I could not sleep whole night and i requested to change to a room with window the next day. The receptionist told us all room have the issues and we are not the first customer to complain and she told us the room we are staying are actually quite cooling. After much complain, we still manage to change to a room with window and it feel a lot more comfortable for the rest of my stay here. Any problem which i encounter is that their drainage is not done properly, water will overflow whenever you are showering and it will leak all the way to the corridor if you are unaware. I checked on XHS (their local IG) and noticed a lot of customers encounter similar problem when they are staying in Ji Hotel. After this incident, i will never ever book any hotel under Ji Hotel until the rectified all their problems. For this price, i think you can get a better hotel in the same part of the city. Facilities - The hotel come with laundry room and a small gym beside the laundry room. All facilities are free for use. If you ever need to stay at Ji Hotel, please pick a room that come with a window.
